Happy almost 2019 loves! I don't know about anyone else but I am BEYOND ready to see 2018 be over. 2018 has not been the greatest year so I'm ready for a fresh start. I'll be spending NYE in a pretty non-eventful fashion but you know what? I'm ok with it. If I'm awake to see the ball drop tonight, I'll be happy. I'll be spending most of tonight in a super comfy, animal themed onesie. Yup, you read that correctly. A bunch of grown ass adults are going to put on onesies and play games and probably be asleep before midnight. 

As excited as I am for my onesie party, this girl loves getting dressed up and as you guessed from my blog name, I'm a bit of a sucker for sequins. I'll admit, in my old(er) age, I've definitely toned down the sequins and try to go for more subtle sequin looks which is why this tank was an absolute must-have for me for my pre-onesie party NYE celebration. Before the "party", I'm going out with a group of friends to a dinner at a fancy hotel here in Orlando with unlimited champagne and desserts and this is the look I'm currently rocking for it. A hint of sparkle, a touch of velvet and I'm super comfy, does it get any better? Ok, it does. With onesies. But that comes later. Congratulations crazy Florida weather, you win. I've officially gotten my first cold of the season and it could not have come at a worse time. Not that there is any "good" time for a cold but my parents happen to be in town this weekend and I had to make another trip back up to Gainesville on Monday so I haven't really gotten any time to rest and recover. Oh well. That's what the weekend is for right? Oh right, I already have plans this weekend too. Sigh. But speaking of crazy Florida weather, how is it possible to be 86 one day and 66 the next? Not cool. 

I know I've complained about our crazy weather swings in the past but I guess it could be worse. It might be annoying but I definitely don't miss the snow. Plus there's something really fun about knowing I can rock a maxi dress and flip flops in December and not freeze. I wore this dress out for Sunday Funday two weekends ago and it was so comfy. It was a bit breezy out, sunny and the perfect maxi weather. I actually brought my jean jacket with me and put it on after the sun went down and it got a bit cooler out. And did I mention what a steal this dress is?! Super comfy, the softest material ever and it even has pockets and it's under $30! When I saw my girl Kerri rocking it a few weeks ago, I absolutely knew I had to have it and now I'm going to be purchasing it in other colors!

Happy Wednesday babes! Look at me posting relatively consistently two weeks in a row. Crazy right? Florida weather has been so crazy lately. I feel like I say that every year but this year it feels worse than usual. We go from one week in the 60's back up to the 80's to a few days in the 40's then back up to almost 90. It makes it REALLY hard to dress appropriately that's for sure. Luckily I've learned the art of layering and that's basically the only way I can make it through the day. This draped trench has been my go to layering piece this fall. 

I had been wanting a draped trench for awhile now. I feel like it's one of those classic pieces you can wear forever. I found this jacket before attending a rainy start to Orlando Fashion Week back in October and I've worn it so many different ways since then. I love wearing it with either all black or all white as a fun pop to a neutral outfit like with this outfit. It's definitely become my favorite layering piece and for the price, you certainly can't beat it!

Happy Wednesday loves! I know, I know, you're all probably thinking "who the heck is this random person posting today?" It's been awhile, I'll admit. With all the stuff I've had going on lately, it's been so tough to find the time or the motivation to blog. I've definitely missed you all and hope you understand my absence. If you guys follow me on Instgram you've probably seen I've been spending a lot of time at Shands Hospital and Gainesville and I appreciate all the love, prayers and support that have been sent my way. Luckily things seem to be on their way up now so maybe I'll be able to get back to devoting more time to this little space of the internet of mine. We'll see!
To prove just how behind I am... I actually wore this outfit back in October (eek) to attend the Swan & Dolphin Food and Wine Classic and it was the perfect fall romper. The weather was nice while the sun was out but got a bit chilly (and windy) when the sun went down so I was super happy to have my jacket to keep me warm. I was originally going to wear my over the knee boots with this outfit but at the time I didn't feel like it was quite cool enough out but I can't wait to rock this outfit with them. We still haven't had any consistently cool weather down here but I've been loving the cold snaps when we get them! Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and I'll be scouring your blogs for gift ideas because I am SO not ready for Christmas!

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. We had a gorgeous fall weekend (finally) here in Florida and I took advantage of every second of it. From meeting up with my girl Kerri to celebrate her birthday to doing all the Halloween things, I managed to get a ton of time outside and a bunch of fall activities in. One of the things I wanted to share with you today is the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic held every October at the Swan and Dolphin hotel property grounds here in Orlando. 

Unless you've been living under a rock (and if you have, I apologize), pretty much everyone has heard of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival but not a lot of people are aware of the weekend long fest held just down the road (still on property!) at the Swan and Dolphin. I had been wanting to check it out for a few years so when I got offered tickets to attend, I of course jumped at the opportunity. I mean, who would turn down unlimited food and wine/beer, amiright? I Ubered over to check it out Friday night after work at the weather was absolutely amazing. Cool with a slight breeze, I called it the perfect eating weather. 

The event is a ticketed event but unlike at Epcot Food & Wine, the food (and wine) are all free and unlimited the entire time of the event. From 5:30-9 pm we ate and drank our way around the causeway in between the Swan and Dolphin hotels while enjoying live music and a beautiful sunset. Most of the food are from fancier restaurants in the area so you can try everything from sushi to ribeye and pair it with numerous different wines or beers. One of my favorite areas was the Carnival Corner which has pretty much exactly what you'd expect it to, yummy carnival-esque foods. Beef Barbacoa and Poblano Pepper Mac and Cheese and the Funfetti Deep Fried Oreo with Dark Chocolate Ganache were two of my favorites from Carnival Corner. 

If you're ever in the Orlando area in October during Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic, definitely check it out!

Happy Monday babes! Surprised to see me today? I know, I've been neglecting this little space of mine lately but I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things. And when I get to check out amazing places of course I HAVE to share them with you...even if I do it a few weeks late. *eek, sorry!* As you all know, I'm not the biggest girly girl. I've never gotten a blow out, in fact I rarely even get my hair done but after checking out Blo Blow Dry Bar in downtown Orlando, I am definitely sold. 

Mikaela invited a few of us (including my girl, Kerri) to check out some of the services Blo Blow Dry Bar offers as well as have a fun little girl's night out so obviously I couldn't resist. Right when you walk up you can tell this place is going to be straight up adorable (and a blogger's dream come true). The pink, white and black decor is so dreamy and the fun murals on the wall make for the perfect backdrop for photo ops. 

Blo Blow Dry Bar is your one stop shop to look your best for any occasion. They offer makeup, nails and of course blow outs but one of my favorite things is that you don't have to get just a blow out. My hair tends to not hold a curl so for me going to get my hair done never made sense because I knew it would fall out within an hour of getting it done... if I was lucky. The girl's at Blo Blow Dry Bar showed me the book of fun hairstyle options to choose from and I immediately knew I was interested in getting a braid. As someone who can't braid my own hair (I told you, I'm not girly at all) I was thrilled to know these fabulous ladies could do pretty much any fun braid I wanted.

After getting my hair washed and prepped (with the most amazing smelling products, I must add) I sat down in my chair next to Kerri with a glass of champs in the cutest Corkcicle champagne flutes and watched them go to work! I was so happy with my side Dutch braid and I even ended up rocking it for several days which I never could have done with just a plain blow out.
