Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! There are no shortages of food and wine festivals here in Florida, from South Beach Food & Wine in the winter to Epcot Food & Wine in the fall, you can find one in almost every city and season. That includes one in my own backyard (well, hypothetically speaking) so of course I had to go check it out, especially when the weather is as gorgeous as it was! For the past 9 years, Lake Eola has been home to the Downtown Food & Wine Festival and despite it being so close to home, this is only the second time I've gone. 

This year Kate, the boys and I all headed downtown on a gorgeous 80 degree Saturday to experience all of what Downtown Food & Wine has to offer. With over 25 different restaurants and 50 different wines (also cocktails and beer) to sample there really is something for every one. With that being said, similar to other food and wine festivals, it can get expensive so you definitely want to plan what you want to try in advance. I recommend to either check out the menus online or do a lap around the event first before jumping into the commitment of getting something at the first place you see. What can I say, I take my food very seriously ;) Unfortunately the one thing I REALLY wanted to try, the restaurant ended up not showing up, but I managed to find an amazing hotdog that almost made up for the fried goat cheese I didn't get to enjoy. If you know Kate and I, of course we managed to find all of the bubbles at the event to sip on. 

One of the cool things about this event is instead of paying cash or using a credit card at each tent, you buy tickets and then pay using the tickets (most food items are 1-3 tickets and most drinks are 2-4 tickets) so you're able to set how much you want to spend and if you have willpower, you won't go over. Once our tickets were gone we headed over to the DJ area and danced to burn off some of the calories we consumed. Later in the evening there's a concert, our headliner was Gavin DeGraw but two years ago we saw Lifehouse. You can't beat ending a great day of food and wine with a free concert!

Happy Friday babes! Getting real here today and talking about some insecurities. Like a lot of people, I had braces when I was younger but my braces left behind evidence they were once there. The glue left behind a discoloring on my teeth that's faint to see to everyone else but to me it's one of the main things I see when I smile. I've always had sensitive teeth too so whitening was always a struggle for me. Even though up until recently I didn't drink coffee (and I only usually have a cup a day during the week), I don't really drink red wine and I don't drink soda, I always envied people with sparkling, pearly white teeth but thought it was out of reach for me.
And in a way it was, until Smile Brilliant. Smile Brilliant is an at-home whitening kit that is not only super easy to use, but it shows results almost immediately. Smile Brilliant sends you everything you need to get started on your at home whitening kit, including very detailed step-by-step instructions which is definitely needed for someone like me even though the process really is pretty simple!

1. Blend the blue and white putty (the base and the catalyst) together until they’re a light blue color and you fill the blue mold tray.
2. Place the mold tray (one at a time!) on your teeth for 2-3 minutes.
3.  Mail in your impressions with the pre-paid envelope included.
4. Once you receive your clear trays in the mail, you're ready to try out your whitening kit!
5. Line each clear tray with the whitening gel and leave on for a specific amount of time (this varies based on how long you want to keep them in. I started with 30 mins).
6. Rinse and use desensitizing gel.
7. Repeat as needed and enjoy a brilliant white smile!

Depending on how often you use them and how long you keep the trays in, you can see results almost immediately. Since I know I have sensitive teeth and gums I spaced out my sessions and kept the trays in for a shorter amount of time at first but the desensitizing gel really helps! It's definitely far more effective than whitening toothpaste or strips. One of the things I love about Smile Brilliant is the trays are actually molded to fit your teeth and you aren't using oversized trays that are uncomfortable and don't fit in your mouth or strips that never stay put. I also love that the entire process is done in the comfort of your own home. As someone who fears (I mean seriously fears) going to the dentist, I wanted whiter teeth but not so badly I was willing to sit in the dentist office so this is a perfect and affordable solution for me!

Happy Humpday babes! I don't know about anyone else but we've been having some very spring-like temperatures lately and I'm definitely not sad about it. We definitely had a very mild winter so it's not like I've been missing warmer weather for any length of time but it is nice to have the warm, sunny and most importantly low-humidity days again. The only downside is it is still cool in the mornings and evening so it can be a bit tricky dressing appropriately. 

This sweater was by far one of my favorites to wear this winter but it's 3/4 length sleeves make it the perfect transition sweater from winter to spring. Over the winter I often paired this sweater with black or regular denim jeans but now that spring is approaching I've been pairing it with white jeans and even shorts on those exceptionally warm days! I think white and camel might officially be my new favorite color combo. I love the color contrast between the two and it's a bit softer than my usual white and black. 

On another note, over the next few weeks you might notice some changes over here at Sequins + Sea Breezes. Nothing major, but I have been feeling a bit uninspired lately and I thought about taking a bit of a blogger break but then I realized I'm just feeling uninspired writing about clothes. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE fashion and clothes but instead of talking about my outfits as much I'm going to focus on more of the lifestyle and incorporate my outfits into more lifestyle specific posts. Hopefully I don't lose any followers over the change but in all honesty, does any one really follow me for my superb sense of style (being sarcastic here)? So feel free to leave me your genuine feedback on things, I'd rather have you be honest with me than lose a follower over the changes!

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It's strawberry season here in Florida and I had a major craving over the weekend. When I was younger I spent every summer in Bar Harbor, Maine with my grandparents who had a farm and some of my earliest memories are of strawberry picking with my grandfather. When I found out we had local pick-your-own farms here in Orlando I knew I had to go check it out.
U-Pick farms are a fun, free thing to do around Orlando and if you love berries, there's no better place to find the freshest and best! Why spend time in the grocery store trying to find the best container when you can pick your own? Saturday morning we headed out to Pappy's Patch U-Pick Strawberries in Oviedo to see what we could find. It was surprisingly busy for 10 am but the field is large enough where there were plenty of places that you could pick without running into other people and there were definitely plenty of strawberries to go around. You have the option of picking a 10 lb box or you can choose smaller containers that hold about 1 1/2 lbs each. We filled up 3 of the smaller containers with gorgeous, delicious strawberries in under 20 minutes, and I have plenty to make strawberry shortcake with! It was definitely a great way to spend a Saturday morning and you can't beat free entertainment! It definitely made me miss my grandparents but I loved getting to relive those memories of when I used to go picking with them and making new memories. So if you're looking for free things to do in Orlando I'd definitely recommend stopping at one of our U-Pick farms!

Happy Valentine's Day babes! I'm not one who usually celebrates Valentine's Day or makes a big fuss out of it, I'd rather get flowers or chocolates on a random day of the year "just because" than I would on Valentine's Day but that doesn't mean I can't dress the part! Red used to be one of my favorite colors to wear, regardless of the holiday, but then I started to wear more neutrals and slowly red slipped out of my wardrobe and was almost all but forgotten. So when I saw this dress, I was immediately to it in white but I decided to switch it up and go with the red to add more color to my wardrobe again.

Since I'm not going out, or doing anything over the top to celebrate, I kept my Valentine's Day look pretty casual which really shouldn't surprise anyone. Since it is still a bit cooler in the morning and evening, I threw on a jean jacket which made this dress not only cool weather appropriate but also less dressy. Then I topped off my look with my absolutely favorite wedges. Every time I wear these wedges I get compliments on how cute they are and everyone is always surprised to hear that they're also super comfortable. Is anyone doing anything fun for Valentine's Day?

Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine definitely didn't feel long enough but I guess it never really does. I woke up in the middle of the night Saturday night full of things I wanted to say today and then when I went to write this post I couldn't think of anything to say, does that ever happen to anyone else? Hoping I'm not the only one there! Linking up with Biana for my weekend recap!

Friday was kinda rough for me. We were supposed to be getting audited at work, which anyone who has ever been through an audit knows it's not fun and can be incredibly time-consuming and invasive but after some canceled flights and some discussions we decided to reschedule it for another day. Which should have been a relief but in all reality, I really just wanted to get it done and over with. After a bit of a rough day rose is the only way to end a day.


Saturday started out with a 2.9 mile run and ended with margaritas. Without getting too "personal" on you, I found out that one of my longest family friends was dying and my parents were taking off to go back to Cincinnati to say their goodbyes. If you didn't already know, I've already lost all of my grandparents so basically my parents are all I have left so hearing that a close family friend that is my parents age was dying really hit me hard. It's one of those things that  you really don't expect to hear so it made me realize that I don't have forever with my parents left.

Sunday was a day of errands and chores before heading out with Kerri and the boys for some mimosas and darts. Sadly, while I was out I got the call from my dad that our family friend had passed. Yet another reminder that life is all too short, but I was thankful to be with close friends that love me and were able to lift my spirits. Kerri and I were able to beat the boys in darts before ending the night with lots of German food. My parents and my long time family friends may not live near me but I appreciate my adopted family that I have here and how much they help me through the tough times.


I apologize that things got a little deep here today but that's life. It's not always rainbows and butterflies but I feel that I need to acknowledge my real life and it's not always pretty and fun. But thank you a million times over to Kerri and the boys for always making me have fun even when I don't feel like it. You guys are so amazing!

I hope everyone has an amazing week and just remember, no matter how bad it gets, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel!

Happy Friday lovelies! I'm not going to lie, I had every intention of taking today off from blogging since this week has been crazy busy. Just yesterday I was in meetings for 7 hours, but when I skipped the gym and stopped by Target on the way home and saw the newest collab line I knew I had to blog about it! I've been a huge fan of BaubleBar for years now so when I saw they had a collab line at Target called SugarFix I was super excited about it. Happy Humpday dolls! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! So far my week has been pretty calm compared to last week but I have more interviews today and tomorrow and a pretty meeting heavy Friday so I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend. I'm definitely hoping that we'll have my new employee picked out and an offer ready to be made by Friday so my schedule can go back to being a bit calmer. Ok, enough about work, let's move on to more fun things like this outfit I wore a few weeks ago!

If you follow me on Snapchat {pamelanicole84} or Instagram you might remember that I went to a Breaking Benjamin concert at Disney Springs {Downtown Disney *cough, cough*}. Well before the concert I did a quick set of pictures but I completely forgot about them until this weekend so I'm finally sharing my concert outfit with you all! This was a rock concert so I did my best interpretation of a fun, rock 'n' roll outfit and I'm not going to lie, I actually loved this outfit. It was edgy but still very me and incredibly comfortable. I even got multiple comments on "how cute I looked" even though I still wasn't nearly as edgy as a lot of the girls there. Since I knew we were going to be standing a lot I really wanted to be comfortable so I opted for my faux leather leggings and my favorite distressed tee. I'm pretty sure I sound like a broken record here but... I live in these shoes. I am seriously so obsessed with them and how comfy they are! We were standing for about 6 hours straight the night of the concert with no breaks and my feet weren't bothering me at all the end of the night or the next day.
