Happy humpday! Guys, can you believe this weekend is September? It's definitely still summer hot here so despite the fact that September officially marks the start of fall, I don't see too much fall weather heading my way soon. Lucky for me, I love summer so I'm not complaining too much. Although I will enjoy the slightly lower humidity so my hair actually cooperates and stays curly instead of the hot mess it is in these pictures. 

One of the things I love the most about living in Florida is my ability to sit outside and enjoy the weather almost all year long. It might be a little hot out right now for midday patio time but the mornings and evenings are perfect for dining al fresco or just enjoying a glass of wine which is exactly what I did in this outfit. This top was perfect for my brunch out with the girls although I was slightly underdressed with the sandals since everyone else was in heels but whatever. I'm all about the comfort! Funny thing that I noticed when I bought this shirt, this is the only purple thing I own. Crazy right? I am such a neutral lover but the stripes and off the shoulder totally got me.

Happy Wednesday babes! I just realized next week is the last week of August. Where is this year going? I know everyone else is prepping for fall weather and fashion and while I'm dreaming about it... I still have a few months before we truly get "fall weather". I have noticed a few cooler mornings/evenings with slightly less humidity so I've been fully taking advantage of those days.
One of my favorite "fall" items is a classic button up or flannel top. I love being able to throw them on over a cute tank or tie them up or even just rock it around my waist. I know, I'm weird but hear me out, how can you not love a piece that's so timeless and versatile? This top is by far one of my favs right now not just because it's my favorite color but because it's so comfy and I love the oversized fit. And if you can't tell from the booties... I am definitely ready for fall weather!

Happy Monday loves! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  I am unfortunately battling a cold today so I'm definitely wishing I was back at home curled up in bed but I'm hoping to power through today and be feeling better tomorrow. At least I got one day over the weekend where I didn't feel awful. Speaking of the weekend, let's hop in to my weekend recap!

Friday I headed to a little after work happy hour to kick off the weekend. We checked out a new place not far from the office which ended up having super cute decor, a nice patio and a great happy hour so I will definitely be back. After happy hour we headed over to a video game bar to play some old school Nintendo. Note to self, Duck Hunt is WAY easier when you can just walk up to the screen and shoot lol.

Saturday I woke up feeling SUPER congested but I already had plans to head to Universal with Kerri so I sucked it up, took a decongestant and headed out. We ended up having a blast despite both of us not being able to breathe great and it being super hot out.  Speaking of Ker, that illustration in the beginning of my blog post is so us lol!

 

Sunday I woke up feeling dunzo (shout out to Kristen Cavalleri for coining that term that I still use even though it's definitely not cool any more) so I took some meds and curled up on the couch to binge watch The Office, nap and do pretty much nothing but sneeze all day.

Happy Monday friends! Can we talk about how tomorrow is finally Taylor Swift day?? I feel like I've been waiting for this day for forever. In all reality, I has been almost a year since we bought the tickets so that is practically forever, right? This will be Ker and I's second Taylor concert and I couldn't have a better Taylor concert partner. I am so excited to jam out with her tomorrow so if I'm a little MIA tomorrow and Wednesday, you know why! But be sure to follow along with us on Instagram! But enough about tomorrow, let's hop right over to my weekend recap. 

I had a bit of a rough day on Friday so after work I just went home and relaxed. I put on some music, cleaned and kinda just decided to take a break from everything. I think sometimes you just need to reset and that's what I did. 

Saturday I headed out bright and early to get some blog pictures in before heading out to meet up with some blogger babes for brunch. I mean, what can be better than new friends, bubbles and brunch? Earl's Kitchen is one of my favorite spots in general, it has gorgeous decor and the food is amazing, so it was the perfect start to my first day after my reset.

After brunch I headed up to look for something to wear for the Reputation Tour.  Then headed out with some friends for drinks and laser tag.

Sunday was another day for relaxing. I grabbed lunch, ran some errands and did some bar hopping. It was the perfect, casual Sunday Funday.

Happy Wednesday babes! Would you believe I am STILL sore from 9Round? I know, pathetic. I guess that means I am really out of shape. Either that or I worked muscles I don't usually work. To make myself feel better, I'm going with that option. Even my hands are sore, isn't that weird? Has anyone ever taken boxing before? Tell me I'm not the only one who's hands hurt after. Ok, enough whining about how out of shape I am, let's talk about this outfit.

By now I'm sure you've seen this adorable lace up cami on pretty much every blogger out there (especially during the NSale) but I still had to share it with you guys! I scooped it up right before my trip to Key West and wore it out on my last night in town but failed to take any Instagram/blogging pictures. I know what you're thinking, "and I call myself a blogger", right? Yeah, well what can I say, I haven't been the greatest blogger ever lately and I am a bit behind on the trends but seriously, how cute is this cami?! One of the main things I love about it is that it's double layer so it's thick enough to not have to worry about anything showing through if you decide to not wear a bra with it AND it's totally reversible. Ok, so it's not really meant to be reversible, but it actually looks super cute with the lace up detail in the back so you can wear it either way. 

Happy back to the grind friends! I have a busy week of meetings ahead of me (which has kind of been my "normal" lately) so excuse me if I continue to be slow to reply, post, etc. Gotta love those busy weeks at work! In all seriousness, I really do love being busy at work so I'm not complaining. How was everyone's weekend? I had a fun weekend filled with dog time, girl time, wine and shopping. Let's jump right into it!

I was dog sitting this weekend so Friday after work I headed to pick up the pooch I was baby sitting and sat outside with him on a patio enjoying the nice weather and a margarita. 

Saturday started with a crazy hard boxing class at 9Round (has anyone else tried it?) before meeting up with the girls for some wine and shopping at Disney Springs. I am STILL sore today from 9Round. It was a great workout but I don't know if it was for me.

We got to check out a new restaurant that just opened at Disney Springs, Teralina, and it was super cute. It had amazing patio seating, an outdoor bar and tons of food and drink options. 

Happy AUGUST babes! Holy crap. How is it already August? I feel like it was my birthday just a few weeks ago and now it's literally almost 2 months behind me. It's crazy how time flies. I know everyone else is starting to prep for cooler, fall weather but here in Florida we're just now getting into our hottest months so excuse me while I continue to wear all the shorts, sundresses and comfy outfits. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely ready for fall but I just know not to expect it any time soon. I get so jealous seeing everyone rocking their picks from the Nordstrom sale, knowing any fall things I get won't get worn for at least another 4 months. 

Speaking of the Nordstrom sale, I did manage to scoop up the super cute, basic boxy tee during the sale that I can wear right now! I love a good basic tee/tank and I absolutely love the fit of this one and how lightweight it is. It's definitely perfect for our hot summer days and will be perfect to wear into fall with jeans, booties and maybe even a jacket. Yeah, I know, I'll probably have to wait until winter to break out the jackets. I wore this outfit on Saturday checking out local breweries and it was the perfect casual Saturday look. I loved dressing it up slightly with a bold lip and the hint of sexy with the bralette underneath.
