I'm finally starting to feel normal again so hopefully I'll be back to my normal blogging self soon! Especially since it's my birthday this weekend (eek, where did the time go?!?) and no one wants to be feeling crappy on their birthday!
You may have seen me rocking this romper on a few of my Instagram pictures last week so I thought I'd finally share it on my blog since I really do love the mixed prints and colors in it. Not to mention I always get a ton of comments every time I wear it! Surprisingly I found this romper at Target last November (yeah I know, not exactly what you'd think of finding in any store in November but this is Florida...) when I was looking for something cute to wear on my company cruise to the Bahamas. I've been pretty adamant about not getting gladiator sandals because I've always felt like they can do some really weird things to your feet/legs/ankles. I knew that finding the perfect pair for me wasn't going to be easy so ordering them online wasn't an option. I found these randomly and decided to give them a try and what do you know... I didn't hate them! They're actually a lot more comfortable than I thought they'd be and I don't think they look too silly on me... hopefully... LOL! I definitely think with gladiator sandals (and a lot of other trends) you really have to try on several things before you find what works for you.
Happy Opening Day!! Ok, so technically Opening Day/Night was yesterday but it is Opening Day for the Reds and that's all I really care about! While I admit, I don't watch a ton of baseball down here (baseball is SO boring on tv) baseball is a BIG thing up in Cincinnati so I still follow the Reds. Last year I got to experience my first Reds game in the new stadium, The Great American Ballpark and I was super excited. I moved before the built the new stadium so I had never even seen it in person. I wore this exact shirt to that game and loved every second of it! I love the fun sequins that give the shirt a subtle shimmer, and the cropped fit that makes it youthful and fun. This time it was a bit cooler out (and breezy) so I decided to pair it with jeans and red wedges but as you can see from the pictures below, August in Cincy is hot so I paired it with shorts and comfy sandals.
{My seats weren't the greatest but I still had a blast!}
{I absolutely adore the Cincinnati skyline! And what's a baseball game without a beer?}
If you love sports and haven't checked out the Victoria's Secret collegiate and pro lines you totally should! They have such cute, girly pieces that aren't too ridiculously priced since sports merchandise is usually overpriced any way. My only complaint is that usually you'll see at least three other people wearing the same thing you are but you're at a sporting event, everyone is supposed to match any way!
I went out shopping this weekend to try to find a present for a friend who is getting married soon and I happened to have my camera in my car (actually I keep it there pretty regularly now, probably not the best thing...) so I decided to stop and do a quick photo sesh. Most of the time when I shop I wear neutrals so when I'm trying stuff on I'm not wearing something crazy that it might not look great with but since I wasn't shopping for myself I decided a coral skirt would be comfy and cute. It was a little breezy out (which I'm totally not complaining about) so I decided to throw on a chambray button up as a lightweight jacket. Hats have kinda become my new thing now so I topped off my look with a crocheted fedora. I never used to wear a lot of hats, mainly because unless I tuck my ears into them I totally look like Dumbo trying to take flight but lately I've been embracing my inner Dumbo (or just tucking my ears in... it's all the same!) and trying out more hats so be prepared to see more hats in my posts!
I had been lusting over this adorable crochet open shoulder sweater from 4th and Ocean for months now and every time I went to get it they were out of stock so I was thrilled when I went this weekend and was able to get it. It's lightweight enough to wear on warmer days and heavy enough to wear on cooler days (although I did get a little chilly after the sun went down). Since I was walking around at a theme park all day (and OMG was it crazy packed!) I decided to go as comfy as possible so I paired my new sweater with destroyed denim jeans and cognac sandals.
top: 4th and ocean {in store only, similar here} / jeans: hollister {currently on sale for 50% off!} / sandals: target {old, similar here} / necklace: dogeared / sunglasses: ray-ban
{ via } Happy Halloween babes! It's a bittersweet day since tomorrow means my favorite season is officially over. I'll be soa...
