Happy September friends! Holy cow. Can you really believe it's September? For most people September means fall weather but here in Florida... I get lucky if I get some cooler weather at all. Doesn't mean that fall isn't my favorite time of year, because let's be real, it is! I get so excited to wear my ripped jeans, flannel shirts and dear lord, don't get me started on when I get to rock my leather jacket... I feel bad for everyone because it never comes off. I know I have a few more weeks/months to go before I get some fall like weather but for the first time in a few weeks I'm sharing a full on weekending post!
I started out my weekend with my girl Kerri, before she got sick (hope you're feeling better boo!) on Friday at one of our favorite local bars. No, despite what it looks like, I'm not drinking water in the picture below. Ok, well I kinda am. I'm drinking MIA Hard Water and it's amazing. But alcoholic so sorry preggers friends, it's not for you!
Saturday I headed back Melbourne for my favorite brewer's brewery anniversary. The weather downright sucked but one of the best parts of being friends with the owner is getting to hang out "behind the ropes" and play Peruvian cornhole (yeah, it's a thing) until the storm passes. As always they had the BEST beer and food and if you're ever in Melbourne (I realize it
s far fetched but if you are, Intracoastal Brewing is a must!)
Sunday was the day of errands and cleaning. When you have a potential category 4 hurricane headed your way it's probably best to get your ducks in a row ahead of time so that's what I tried to do before heading out to play at our favorite Mexican place for a bit Sunday.
The only good part about a hurricane is how nice everyone suddenly becomes. We just hung at the bar and some guy ended up chatting us up and bought our drinks just for being "friendly". I never expect anyone to buy us drinks or any drink at all but it's always nice to have someone buy your drinks just for chatting.
On that note, hope everyone has a fantastic week! I'm at an offsite meeting all day then this week I'll be on high alert for Hurricane Irma so I'll be around when I can!
