Weekending + A Giveaway
7/27/2015
Happy Monday dolls! Another weekend gone by way too quickly. It was a good one though and I'm one weekend closer to my next vacation so I can't complain. And this week is currently scheduled to be less crazy than last week so that's always a plus! Is it ever a bad week when you have a hair appointment scheduled? I didn't think so. Let's get into my weekend recap with Biana, shall we?
Friday night was super low key. I got to leave work a little early so I went home, did my nails and read The Royal We for a bit. After making dinner we decided to run out and rent a movie and get some ice cream. The rest of the night was spent curled up on the couch with my pup and a movie and I ended up in bed by like 11 pm. Not a bad Friday in my opinion!
Saturday morning I woke up with a headache (nope, I didn't drink anything the night before so it wasn't alcohol related, just bad luck) so I spent the morning relaxing a bit before heading downtown to do some fashion shots for the blog this week. It was supposed to rain but instead it was insanely hot out. I gave up trying to look cute (the sweat and humidity killed my makeup and hair) so we headed to WOB to grab a beer.
Of course as luck would have it right as we finished our beer and were heading back to the car the skies opened up and it began POURING out. We got completely drenched running back to the car (which was over a mile away) but it was definitely an experience.
After we got home and cleaned up we headed out to meet up with Kerri at a new local brewery, Ten 10. You know you're old when you have to stop and get Starbucks on your way out for the evening and you're going out at 8 pm! LOL! Loved the brewery and the beer but it's crazy loud in there due to lack of insulation and it got pretty hot so we cashed out and headed over to one of our other go-to's, Matador.
Darts and Dark 'n' Stormys happened at Matador as they almost always do. After a few rounds of darts (and Kerri and I FINALLY winning) we called it a night.
Sunday was extremely uneventful which was fine by me! I went to the pool for a bit to even out my tan since I haven't even put on a bikini since Key West and I've been peeling like crazy. After the pool I came in, read some more of The Royal We, went grocery shopping and even took a nap! That's a good Sunday right there. Minus the grocery shopping, not my favorite.
Now on to the good stuff. What better way to start the week than with a Kendra Scott giveaway?
Hope everyone has an amazing week!

Sounds like the perfect mix of fun and relaxing. I'm usually a coffee before I go out kind of girl, glad to know I'm not the only one :)! Hooray for being one weekend closer to your vacay :)!
ReplyDeleteLove those earrings, KS is a favorite! Snapped up a bunch at the Nordstroms sale! Have a fabulous Monday, gorgeous!
Your Friday sounds perfect! Relaxing, ice cream and a movie? So good!
ReplyDeleteI can picture you running in the pouring rain--been there before! It sucks when you're doing it and then you look back and can laugh about it. Looked like your night with Kerri was the perfect way to spend an evening, even if you needed Starbucks to perk up beforehand! :)
I love the little peek of shoulder that shirt has that you wore on Saturday night! Everyone is reading the Royal We and I feel like I need to download it asap!!! So glad you had a relaxing weekend and were able to get some pictures in!!! Happy Monday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

Sounds like you had such a fun weekend, aside from the intense heat! It was like that here yesterday too. It finally rained last night, a much needed cool down. And I just love a good dark and stormy. Definitely need to make one this week!

Haha yes, I totally can relate to that "I feel old" moment. I seriously remember the days where I wouldn't even go out until 11:30 pm like every night of the weekend… crazy!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect low-key weekend! How is the book so far? I'm debating whether to add it to my list or not!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a great weekend with a little bit of fun and a little bit of relaxing. I think I need to read Royal We, everyone seems to be reading it. I totally need a coffee before I head out at night. I blame it on old age, which I hate. lol. Happy Monday.
ReplyDeleteThe heat definitely kills any attempt at looking fabulous. Looks like you had a pretty relaxing weekend. Have a great week!

Fabulous giveaway! Such a fun weekend (minus the rain part!) I have the Royal We on my list to read next and I can't wait! Just throw a little Kahlua in that coffee and you're good to go ;) Please, once you hit 27 I feel like you need anything to get pumped to get out the door past 8!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!! I keep hearing about Royal We! Need to add that to my list...
ReplyDeleteYay for a great weekend! And maybe another book to add to my reading list?! How is it so far?

A couple cold beers is the perfect remedy to cool off! I love Sundays that are a good mix of relaxing/getting things done and ready for the week - hoping for one of those this weekend! I already made a note to get that book for my trip, I can’t wait!
ReplyDeleteThat was like us on Friday night.....I was like can you believe we actually stayed out past midnight??? Then I spent all day on Saturday regretting that decision :-( The rain was crazy this weekend!!!!
ReplyDeleteThats definitely not a bad Friday. Not every one of them has to be out on the town ... at least that's what I tell myself hehe. Glad you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how tricky it is trying to take photos in this heat and trying not to completely melt! It's been so stickin hot. Saturday night sounds fun! Sucks the brewery place was too loud but Matador is always fun. I love that place!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend minus the headache and the rain. I am so with you on having to get a coffee if I am going to be out later than usual!!! And you know my love for WOB!!! We didn't make it to ours this weekend, but I hope to go next weekend. We have a brewery here that I love but gets way too loud when it is crowded too.
ReplyDeleteLow-key Fridays followed by cocktail-filled Saturdays are the best hah. Sorry your shoot didn't turn out but at least you had fun (and sometimes running in the rain is almost cathartic - later, although insane at the time)! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love that icecream right now! I wish ATL had a WOB. I love all of their options!
ReplyDeleteHow fun was your weekend! That ice cream looks super delish!

Fun weekend and I feel you about going out after 8 pm - I can't hang anymore!
ReplyDeleteGoing out after 8 (unless I'm already out) does not happen in my world anymore!! I was fighting a headache on Friday so I hear ya on that one. I'm glad that you had a nice weekend though!! :-)
ReplyDeleteIf I was going out for the evening I'd be on my 3rd coffee of the day lol! Maybe even my fourth... It is a rare occasion we really get out anywhere though(without the kids!) Those earrings are gorg! xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend! I was in bed by 11:30 on Friday and I was totally okay with it haha!
