Sequins and Sea Breezes: Lazy Saturdaze

Lazy Saturdaze

7/21/2015

Happy Tuesday love bugs! Hope everyone's week is off to a fantastic start. Now that I'm recovered from my Sunday Funday (I am way too old to be out after dark on a Sunday!) I'm doing much better. All day yesterday the only thing I could think about was my bed. Naptime at work should be a thing. Preschoolers don't need it nearly as bad as adults, we need to make this a thing. Even though I'm complaining about how tired I am today I really did have a very nice and relaxing Saturday. The weather wasn't the greatest so I kept my outfit casual and comfy to run some errands and grab a bite to eat.
You already know how I feel about stripes (and you've been warned... there will be more stripes coming later this week #sorrynotsorry) so when I saw this J.Crew tank on major sale I knew I had to get it. It's the perfect comfy tank for a casual weekend outfit but it also looks great slightly dressed up with a blazer for work! I kept it super casual with shorts because it's really really hot out still in Florida but I topped off my look with my wedge booties and a floppy hat. Even though it's still really hot out I couldn't resist breaking out my booties. People probably thought I was slightly off my rocker wearing booties in 90+ degree weather but oh well. Sometimes I just can't resist busting something out and this was one of those times! I don't even know what I'm going to do when my new DV boots get here tomorrow. I'm going to die waiting several more months to wear them!

  1. Lady I feel you on being tired yesterday! Six soccer games in the advisory heat wiped me out! I barely ate dinner then passed out on Sunday night so last night was early dinner out and then mega early bedtime. I'm much more refreshed today!

Love the stripes and awesome you got it on sale. That hat is pretty fabulous, too!

  7. The world would be so much more pleasant if we could all take a little nap in the middle of the day! I know it would certainly make me a little kinder around 2:30 :) I LOVE this look and I don't think it would have been the same without the booties! They really add an extra something.

  19. Ha ha, or I would say adults need naps just as badly as pre schoolers do... only we are expected to suck it up and hold our emotions in until we can go to sleep at night ;) I totally think nap time should be a thing for all ages!
