Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

5/04/2015

Happy Monday dolls! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I can't believe it's May already, this year is flying by. My birthday month is sneaking up on me quickly and while I've given thought to what I want to do, I'm still totally clueless. But I have plenty of awesome things coming up before my birthday so I'll worry about my birthday plans later and live in the now! We had absolutely perfect weather this weekend so let's jump into my weekend recap with Biana!

So technically this wasn't the weekend but on Thursday I did a girl's happy hour with Kerri, Kate and Emily at Brio. It was absolutely gorgeous out so we sat outside had some wine and caught up on things. It was definitely nice and relaxing and great to hang out with these ladies!

{I think this might be the closest I ever get to seeing what I'd look like as a blonde... thanks Ker!}

Friday night I kept it pretty low key. It was nice to just relax after a very hectic, and not so great week. Dinner and a little Wii Party was the perfect way to end my week and start my weekend.

Saturday the weather was about as perfect as you can get; sunny, warm but not hot, slightly breezy and not a cloud in the deep blue sky. I decided to do some shopping then I went out for lunch and beverages on the Ale House patio. Hello buffalo zinger melt and mojitos!

After running errands I made my first ever mint julep in honor of Derby Day. It was a little sweet but definitely not bad for my first try!

Saturday night we headed to our favorite local brewery for some amazing beer and board games.

Sunday I enjoyed this view by the pool for a bit for the first time in a few weeks. Now that my burn on my stomach is finally starting to heal I'm able to get in the pool and not worry about getting sweaty so hopefully I'll make it back to the gym this week too!

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

  13. Sounds like it was the perfect weekend. I have never had a zinger melt but feel like I need to. It's still not warm enough here to lie out by the pool. It is suppose to be in the 80's here today but sadly I have to work. No beach time. Boo. Happy Monday!!

  29. Looks like a fun filled weekend. The weather was fantastic indeed. Here in NYC, the sun was high & the winds were low. Every year a bunch of us get together to celebrate the Kentucky Derby. Most of us were in the same equastrian school growing up. But really, we gather for the drinks and do you really need more of an excuse than that?

  37. I wanted to make mint juleps for Derby Day, but then Amazon sold out of the mint julep glasses that I wanted to buy so I threw in the towel. I'll try again next year! The one you made looks pretty darn good though!
