Happy Humpday dolls! Halfway through the week and one day closer to that three day weekend I am so excited about! You'd think I had big plans or something with how excited I am but nope. Just excited for an extra day of sleeping in past 5:30 am and relaxing all day. Currently the forecast is not my friend because I was really hoping to get some time in at the pool, beach or maybe even the springs but it's a 60% chance of storms every day this weekend (including Monday) so it's looking like I might need to find some indoor activities to do instead. It's been awhile since I've been to YardHouse so maybe it's time I take another trip back down there... Ok, enough with my weekend plans. Let's talk about the outfit now!
I've previously mentioned that I used to be able to wear pretty much anything to work but with my new job I like to dress up a bit more and be more professional. Especially with the number of meetings I'm in and how many vendors I get to meet with. I'm always looking for pieces I can take from work to dinner or happy hour and still feel comfortable and cute so Express has been my recent go-to. I'm not a huge fan of their prices (especially since I find that some of their pieces aren't the highest quality) but when you get a coupon or they do a sale you can get some really great deals! I managed to snag this shirt and a few others with bogo deals and a coupon. I'm not usually a huge fan of snakeskin print (unless it's shoes) but I actually loved the colors of this one and the silky material made it perfect for dressing up or down. Lately I've been gravitating towards pencil skirts for that perfect "office" look which also looks great out for dinner and drinks as well.
Love this look, lady! It's perfect for summer and super professional. I'm a huge fan of pencil skirts, I think they are so chic and can flow from work to HH easily. You look fabulous, as always!
I am loving this on you!!! Everything from your lip color (which is so pretty) to your shoes is perfect!!! Really love the top!!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
Hopefully the weather holds out and turns out to be nice for you (it worked the last time you had plans on the boat!) Loving this look! That pencil skirt is perfection and I love how you paired it with the shirt and heels!
Fab outfit, you look great! Don't worry about the weather either. My husband always says that the weather people don't know haha. It was also supposed to rain here this past weekend and it ended up being beautiful. Have a great day today! :-)
i totally agree about Express - some of their stuff is crap quality, and others are fabulous but not worth the price. always wait for a sale! i wish i could wear pencil skirts but my hips are just too big lol and they just don't make them small enough for my waist AND big enough for my hips.. so I just rock my a-line midi skirts ;) looks fabulous on you though!
Such a gorgeous summertime look for work! You can wear a white pencil skirt like no other. I'm a huge fan of Express, but I'm with you - unless I have a coupon or there's a sale, the prices aren't exactly always worth it.
OW OW!! This outfit is HOTT girl--love the white skirt and snakeskin, but totally love that is really is work appropriate!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend of sleeping in--that sounds so fabulous :)
Ugh here too girl, the forecast is NOT my friend this weekend either :( Love that skirt, I'm craving warmer weather & sunshine so I can actually wear a skirt haha
I love this look! It's very chic, but it has a nice pop of fun because of the top. You look stunning in these photos! xo, Lauren-lee Lauren-lee Grace Beauty & Fashion
