Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

10/13/2014

Happy Monday dolls! I can't believe another weekend is over! I swear the weekends aren't long enough to get everything I want to do done. I actually had a pretty relaxing weekend this weekend which was a nice change of pace. I definitely needed it to catch up on my sleep from Thursday night. This weekend has the potential to be another busy weekend so glad I got to relax while I had the chance! Even though it wasn't very exciting... it's time to link up with my lovely friend Biana for the weekend recap!

Even though it technically wasn't the weekend, I started out my "weekend" at the UCF game watching my Knights take on BYU. I'm not going to lie, it was a rough game. We had our ups and downs and after overtime we managed to pull out the win! The energy in the stadium was amazing, it was such a fun game and I can't wait for our next one this Saturday!

Friday night was pretty uneventful. We decided to break out the cornhole boards since we haven't gotten to play in awhile. I was definitely a bit rusty... I think I need to practice more! It was an absolutely gorgeous night though so I'm really glad we spent some time outside!

Saturday I had to wake up early (boo) to drive an hour and a half away to check out a car I had my eye on. I've been going back and forth between getting a new car and not for awhile now and while I thought it was a little pointless to get the exact same car that I already have just newer... that's what I ended up doing. What can I say? I have a type apparently. If you love everything about the car, why get something different? It was a nice upgrade and I am in love with my new car!
I was supposed to go to PRIDE Fest Saturday afternoon but I didn't end up making it back in time. I'm sad I missed it since all my friend's pictures looked like an amazing time! They ended up going out after and I came thisclose to going but in the end I decided I didn't want to park my car downtown and risk getting a ding or scratch the first day getting it (not to mention driving it after a drink or two) so instead I stayed home and watched some football and basically felt like I was there since my friends are hilarious and awesome and group texted me pretty much everything going on all night. I eventually turned my phone off at 2 am (sorry guys...) but woke up on Sunday to 34 absolutely hilarious texts.

Sunday was reserved for errands and football. Oh yeah, and cuddling with my little furball. My fantasy football team had an amazing week. I wish I could say the same about my actual football teams! I also got to catch up on Vampire Diaries on Sunday and last Thursday's episode totally made me tear up. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one!

Hope everyone has a fabulous week! As for me, I'll be counting down the days until the weekend! :)

  5. Pretty car!! Acura's are so good! When you love something like that, it's best to stick with what you know! We went out on a limb once with a truck and ended up spending soooo much money on repairs! We sold it and went back to what we know and love and it's been so good to us!
Sounds like the best weekend of relaxing!

  21. Aw (I actually just yelled that out loud) regarding that sweet pup snuggled up on your lap in the last photo. I want to be doing the same with mine right now, I miss her. I have not seen last week's episode yet! Come to think of it I don't even think I've seen a preview for it. I guess I'll get the tissues ready.

  33. Congrats on the car! I love the smell of new cars. I thought my weekend was uneventful because Sunday was errands and a couple movies. Then I remembered what we did on Friday night, Saturday eve/night..... so funny that I forgot.

I have been to pride a lot of years, and it is fun, but I started to realize they were the same each year and now I haven't been in a couple years.
