Ohh Florida, you really can't make up your mind on your weather can you? It has gone from the 50's to the 70's in a matter of days. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the warmer weather but it can make it difficult to dress comfortably when there's such a big swing in the temperature. That's definitely where layering and mixing seasonal pieces comes into play!
Lately I've been loving pattern mixing, especially with stripes. Stripes and leopard, stripes and polka dots, and even stripes and plaid. I know there has been a lot of debate in the fashion world about mixing stripes and plaid but I really don't care. Life is too short to always play by the rules, right? I hope you guys aren't sick of this scarf yet, I know every blogger in the world is sporting it right now but I definitely plan on incorporating it into more outfits. It's just so darn soft and comfy!
Count me in on the pattern mixing bandwagon! Love how you paired this cozy plaid with the striped dress, and the slouchy boots really pull the look together!
Stripes and plaid is seriously my favorite two patterns to mix especially this time of year! I have been living in my blanket scarf now that it has finally kinda cooled down!
Stripes + plaid is a winning combo for me, too. Love this! Hope that Florida weather sorts itself out soon- you could send a little warmth KC's way! It's in the teens right now and I'm freeeeezing! Ha. :)
Love this look! I'm with you about breaking so-called fashion rules - if you want to mix stripes and plaid, go for it! I personally find stripes to be a neutral, and I pair 'em with pretty much anything. :)
I was so scared about pattern mixing but seriously stripes and plaid are fabulous together. in fact, I'm wearing it today! lol your picture yesterday inspired me!
Not sick of the scarf at all because it is fabulous! Thanks for the inspiration to mix up the patterns! Now I have a new idea for an outfit this weekend!
I loveeee this scarf! I don't care how many times I see it, it's wonderful all the time! :) Love how you paired it with the stripes and the boots! Pinning this now! Thanks for joining the celebrate southern linkup!! Cheers!
Love it! You are so right, 'winter' in Florida makes getting dressed incredibly hard. This outfit works perfectly for that-just take the scarf off when it gets warm in the afternoons. I'm a new reader! -Kristen // www.pugsandpearls.com
