I don't know why but lately I've been loving black shoes and accessories with lighter colored outfits. Usually I'd be super against this as I'm all about sticking with the same color palette (except when it comes to bold colors for that pop) but lately I've thrown my own "rule" out the window. Why not, right? I really wanted to go for the muted tones with this outfit, a blush tank with white jeans but for some reason my black heels were calling my name.
I wore this outfit going out to grab drinks and I wanted to look dressy but not TOO dressy. I had worn the jeans to work that day but instead of the casual chambray I originally paired them with I opted for this studded J.Crew linen tank. It still is pretty hot out here, even at night so jeans and a long sleeve chambray shirt would have been a bit much but this lightweight tank was the perfect match. Again, not trying to overdo the look I decided to go with simple silver bangles and throw my already curled hair up in a pony tail. Truthfully, the hair was already a bit of a mess so whenever I don't want to redo it or don't have time I'll tease it a bit and throw it up in a ponytail and most of the time you can't really tell that it looks like a hot mess down! Any little tricks I can do to pull off looking presentable without completely redoing my hair/makeup/etc is definitely a plus in my book. Ain't no body go time to do all that when champagne is waiting!
Happy Friday lovelies! I'm not going to lie, I had every intention of taking today off from blogging since this week has been crazy ...
