Aren't weeks so much better when they start on a Tuesday instead of a Monday? I never mind working on a Friday but there's just something so dreaded about a Monday so I never mind skipping straight over it and going to Tuesday. Unfortunately, we have a company meeting all day today (and I mean ALL day, it starts at 9 am and ends at 7 pm) so I'll be completely MIA from blogland but I'm linking up with Biana anyway to share my weekend recap since it was a busy/fun one!

Friday was an early day for me since I was on social media duty for the weekend (which basically means I'm on call for anything that pops up on social over the weekend). I was supposed to head straight to Tampa after work for the Summer of Rum Festival but right as I was headed out we found out it was canceled due to Hurricane Hermine and the winds so instead I headed out with Kerri and the boys for an impromptu happy hour.

Saturday was the first UCF game of the season so we headed down to tailgate for a bit before heading in to watch the game. My parents also came into town Saturday for a quick birthday weekend trip for my mom. They were due to come in earlier but after a full day of delays they didn't make it in until Saturday evening.

Sunday the weather was better so we decided to head over to Epcot for some birthday fun for my mom. My parents hadn't been to Disney in like 20-something years so it was fun to get to experience that with them even if my dad was more than skeptical about being there.

Monday was by far my most relaxed day. We started out the day a little later (which was nice) before my mom and I headed out to try to get pedis. Unfortunately every place was closed so we ended up doing some shopping at Target and running to lunch at my parents favorite Mexican restaurant in town. It was rainy so after lunch we headed home and binge watched Z Nation before heading to bed.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Happy Monday love bugs! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I had a nice mix of busy and relaxing so I'm feeling refreshed but still wishing it was the weekend of course. My work week this week is much slower than it was last week so that will be a nice change of pace. It's tough coming back from vacation straight into a crazy work week. Ok enough work talk, let's talk about my weekend with Biana!

Friday I was in Bradenton all day for work visiting a local brewery and brewing a beer for our company (I know, tough life, right?). The only downside is Bradenton is just over 2 hours from Orlando so by the time we were done there it was either sit in rush hour traffic home or grab dinner and head back after rush house. Of course we chose the latter of the two and relaxed a bit instead of sitting in the car for any longer than necessary.

Saturday morning I did a little at home workout before heading over to Disney for the last weekend of our passes before they black out for summer vacation. I have a love/hate relationship with losing our Disney passes for the next 2 1/2 months. It's going to be super hot and super busy so part of me is glad I can't go but then there's part of me that loves the option to go there, people watch, walk around and just be outside.

We drank around the world for the first time and had a blast then we headed over to Animal Kingdom to check out their new nighttime experiences. Up until May Animal Kingdom was only open until 6 pm but now they're open until 11 pm have a bunch of cool night experiences. We checked out The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic, and rode a few rides before heading home. And walking 7 miles in the heat is not a bad way to burn some calories either!

Sunday was spent relaxing and running errands like a typical Sunday. We hung out by the pool for a bit so I can keep my Islamorada tan going and caught up on tv shows from the week!

We have a tropical storm moving in today so it's going to be a wet one here in Florida. We're on the east side of the storm which usually means you get the worst weather so I'm hoping it isn't too bad but wish us luck! Have a wonderful week!

Happy Monday lovelies! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I had every intention of relaxing this weekend since I had such a busy weekend with my parents visit the weekend before but it didn't exactly work out that way. I can't complain though, I had a blast, got to meet up with an old friend and got some Disney time in! On that note, let's just jump into my weekend recap with Biana!

Friday I headed home after work to eat dinner and change before heading back out and down to City Walk to meet up with one of my best friends from college. We were partners in crime throughout our college years and immediately after until she moved away so I was super excited to get to see her! We ended up grabbing some adult beverages and playing putt putt and all around just goofing off like usual.

Saturday morning I woke up and decided to hit up the gym. I've been on a major workout kick lately! I think our upcoming beach vacation has me pumped to get pumped ha! After the gym I got cleaned up and headed down to Disney with Kerri and the boys for a day at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I was lucky enough to get to run into my friend again at Epcot!

Sunday was my usual run errands, clean house, get some blogging in before I decided to run out to the pool for a bit and enjoy the sunshine.  I'm attempting to get a base tan going before our beach vacation coming up so I don't get super burnt.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Happy Thursday! I am definitely happy we're starting the downward slope toward the weekend. The time officially changes this weekend and as happy as I am that it will be lighter later I'm not sure if I'm ready for losing an hour. Especially when that means it's back to being pitch black when I leave my house to go to work. But that does mean warmer weather and longer days so I guess I'll take it! Speaking of warmer weather, I enjoyed some amazing temperatures at Disney this weekend so I took full advantage, spending as much time outside as possible.

When I saw this Lovers + Friends tank top on major sale I knew I had to scoop it up. I'm already a huge fan of all things striped (if you haven't noticed) and the back of it is so perfect for the spring and summer days. For some reason I usually go for things in black and white so it was nice to have something in navy and white to switch up my wardrobe a bit and I love that the navy gives it a slightly nautical feel. We headed over to Italy/France (in Epcot) to take these pictures and I loved that it wasn't overly crowded and you get the glimpses of "Lance" (in case you don't follow me on Snapchat, that's what I call Spaceship Earth, also known as the giant ball in the center of Epcot!) in the background. I paired the top with my comfy AE jeggings and my Converse since I knew I'd be walking ALL day and I topped off my look with a fun fringe necklace and of course my Magic Band ;)

{Love this pic of Ker and I!}

Happy Tuesday friends! Just as a warning, this post is going to be pretty long and heavy on the pictures but since this was my first time to the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival I wanted to recap it in detail, especially if anyone has plans on attending in the future and like me, didn't know what to expect! If you've never heard of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival don't worry, you aren't alone. It's not quite as popular as the Food & Wine Festival in the fall but definitely something to experience if you're visiting Disney in the spring.

Every year from early March through the end of May Epcot turns into a garden full of gorgeous blooms, topiaraies and fresh foods. Similar to Food & Wine, they open 13 different "Outdoor Kitchens" throughout the World Showcase which are not open on a regular day at Epcot. These kitchens are home to special food and beverage options made specifically for the Flower & Garden Festival. Each year you're given a "passport" when you enter the festival which will tell you what foods and drinks are at these kitchens and if you get something from one you can get your passport stamped. The prices on the food usually range from about $3.75 to $6.00 a plate which is usually a smaller sample size so you can try multiple things throughout the park and $5.00 to $11.00 for an adult beverage.  I highly recommend checking out the passport in advance and figuring out what is on your "must-try" list before making your way around the world because it's easy to get full (or tipsy) quickly if you're just stopping at every booth along the way.

You can check out the full 2016 passport here.

In addition to the food and flowers there is also a concert series going on if you happen to be visiting during  a weekend. You can view the entire concert lineup before the Flower & Garden Festival kicks off so you can plan a visit around a certain band or performer you might want to check out. All of the rides are still open during this time as well as the regular country pavilions so going to Flower & Garden won't mess up your previous plans but it might make the park a little more busy than usual. It's not as crazy as International Food & Wine Festival but be prepared for longer lines than a normal day.

We started out going straight to Mexico as we always do and worked our way around the park two times before calling it a day. I failed to take as many pictures of the food as I would have liked but I will say the Currywurst with Paprika Chips and the Beef Brisket Burnt Ends Hash with White Cheddar Fondue and Picked Jalapenos were by far my favorite dishes so far. The Warm Chocolate Cake with Bourbon Salted Caramel Sauce and the Lemon Scone with Creme Fraiche and Mixed Berries were my favorite desserts. And the Key Lime Sparkling Wine and the Snakebite featuring Cigar City Tampa-Style Lager mixed with McKenzie's Black Cherry Hard Cider were my favorite drinks. I was super excited to see so many drinks on the menu featuring Elderflower Liquer since I love St. Germain but I wasn't impressed with any of the drinks featuring it that I tried. Most were WAY too sweet and difficult to drink.

As soon as our blackout dates are over we will definitely be back checking out what we missed and if I find anything else worth sharing I'll be sure to let you know! Thanks for sticking with me through this much longer than usual post, hope you enjoyed it!

Happy Tuesday! Today's post is all about the mouse. Ok, maybe not so much the mouse but the food at the mouse house! This was my first time ever to Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and I call it part 1 because I didn't get to try nearly everything that I wanted to and I didn't bring my "big girl" camera so I will definitely be back very shortly to do a further recap. Honestly, there is so much to do and eat that I don't know how people manage to try something from every country in one day! Thank goodness for season passes so I have an excuse to go back!

We started out the day heading to a third party building to pick up our season passes since I ordered mine through my work. After standing in a line that was forever long we headed over to Disney property. When we finally got into the park we headed straight for the Craft Beer "booth" to grab our first drink of the day. At each "booth" you have some food options and beverage options to choose from and some booths include flights. The craft beer booth offered some snacks (which we opted to skip) and two craft beer flights or individual 5 oz pours of a beer of your choice. We all opted for an individual pour, I went with the Orlando Brewing Grateful Pumpkin.

After finishing up at the Craft Beer booth we headed over to Mexico where we were greeted by a wall of people. Kerri said she had never seen Epcot so busy before, not even on New Years Eve. Leave it to me to go on the busiest day possible, right? We hopped right in line to pick up some Mexican food because that is the one thing I cannot miss. I opted for the Chilaquiles de pollo which was corn chips layered with seasoned chicken, queso fresco, sour cream and cilantro and was delicious! I skipped the drink in Mexico but in my picture you can see the hubby's Dos Equis with a floater. I'm assuming it had to be some sort of raspberry or berry flavored floater considering the color.

After Mexico we continued walking just to continue to find longer and longer lines. We finally decided to stop again in Italy (another food I can't say no to). This time I went with the ravioli alla caprese which was cheese ravioli in tomato sauce with mozzarella, parmesan and basil. This MIGHT have been my favorite dish of the day and I also grabbed a frozen Italian margarita made with limoncello and tequila. It was delicious but melted way too quickly!

From Italy we moved on to France and at this point I was stuffed but I powered through it and ordered the beoeuf bourguignon which was braised short ribs in cabernet sauce with mashed potatoes and I got the sparkling pomegranate kir to drink. I completely failed to take a picture of my food in France mainly because I was more interested in a place to sit down and let my food digest before I exploded. But the views from the pavilion were gorgeous
