Hope everyone is having a fabulous Memorial Day weekend so far. I'm spending the day relaxing with friends on the river and remembering those who served our country and can no longer be with us. So many people forget the real reason why we take the time to celebrate Memorial Day. In all honesty saying "Happy Memorial Day" is a bit of an oxymoron. There is nothing happy about losing a loved one but I like to think of it as a happy time to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live freely. These people were fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, friends and so much more who put on that uniform and went to battle for us and never returned. So this Memorial Day take a moment to remember those who have fallen in service to their country, remember their courage, their dedication and most of all their sacrifice and be sure to thank a veteran for all they have done for us. So if any of my readers has a loved one who has served in the military thank them for me today. Thank you to all of my family and friends who served in the military. You will never be forgotten.
