Happy Thursday and St. Patrick's Day dolls! Only one more day until the weekend, I can't wait! I'm going out for a low key St. Patrick's Day celebration tonight so I'm definitely glad tomorrow is Friday. I don't know how it's possible but I was more tired Wednesday morning than I was Monday morning and today I have 4 hours worth of meetings so it's going to be a long day! While I might not be wearing green on the blog today, trust me, I'm wearing green in real life! No pinching for this girl! Ok, now on to this outfit.

I haven't shopped at Loft in probably like 5 years. Ok maybe more... *insert embarrassed emoji face here* but it was just never a store I thought to stop in on the rare occasions I was in the mall and it never even crossed my mind online until I started seeing so many cute outfits from other bloggers all coming from Loft. Jenn had posted some super cute things from Loft fairly recently and I saw this exact top on another blogger on Instagram and that convinced me I need to check it out again. Of course I found several things that I needed in my closet immediately and while Loft can be kinda pricey, if you hit them during a sale time it's definitely worth it. And what do you know? I happened to be checking them out on Leap Day so they were offering 29% off you entire order! (Of course now it's an extra 40% but whatever...) so I scooped up this fun mixed material peplum top and rocked it to work on a Friday then out to happy hour. To keep things simple (just the way I like them!) I paired it with a pair of comfy jeggings and quite possibly my new favorite heels! Seriously, these things are so comfortable and cute and look exactly like a pair of Steven Madden's I wanted but for a fraction of the cost! I walked all over downtown (3.71 miles to be exact) and my feet weren't bothering me at all! I topped off my look with some layered necklaces and a pop of color with my favorite watch! Happy Tuesday lovelies! Hope everyone's week is off to an awesome start! Some of you may have already seen that over the weekend I attended a gala that was kinda for work, kinda not. The event was the UCP of Central Florida Gala at the Palace which benefits children with cerebral palsy. The company I work for holds the UCP of Central Florida very near and dear so I was honored when I received the invite to attend the gala. On top of having an excuse to get all dressed up it's for a great cause and one I was extremely happy to support.

Of course like most girls, I immediately started thinking about what I was going to wear. Sadly outside of a few bridesmaid dresses I really didn't have much in the way of "formal" wear so I started my hunt for the perfect dress. I couldn't find anything in stores, every thing was either too prom-y or too expensive so I gave up the hunt for awhile. About a week before the event I was reminded about it and realized I needed to jump back in my search. There were a few cute dresses on Rent the Runway I was interested in but of course waiting so last minute most were booked the weekend I needed them so I started my hunt online when I came across this dress. I've been told in the past that red is my "color" so I scooped up this one and crossed my fingers it would fit. I got the dress 2 days... yup nothing like last minute, before the gala and while it fit like a glove everywhere it was WAY too long. I took pictures in it and sent it to a few friends and my mom and asked if they thought it was too long and everyone said "well it won't be when you put on heels" umm... I'm wearing 5 inch heels in the picture... LOL. So after some back and forth  and some serious internal debate I decided to just suck it up, wear the tallest heels I owned and rock it. So here we are! Moral of the story; short people problems are a real thing haha! 

I didn't want to be too overdone for the event so I kept my jewelry fairly basic opting for some suspended ivory pearl drop earrings and some dainty bracelets and topped off my look with a fun leopard Clare V. clutch (thanks Ker!).

Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and isn't too tired from the time change yesterday. It sucks heading into work when it's still dark out again but I am excited about it being lighter later so I can get back to doing things after work, I've missed going on my bike rides after work. I'm also pretty excited it's St. Patrick's Day week! I already painted my nails green last night in preparation :) Let's jump into my weekend recap with the lovely Biana!

Friday after work I headed downtown to meet up with Kerri and the boys for a happy hour outside by the lake. The weather was amazing so we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a few drinks to unwind from the week. We also did some walking around since we don't get downtown very often.

Saturday I woke up and headed over the the mall and run a few other errands before heading home and relaxing a bit before getting ready for my work gala that evening. The gala was amazing, everything looked gorgeous, the Veuve was flowing and I got to meet Cheryl Hines from Suburgatory and and Curb Your Enthusiasm and Rachel Harris from The Hangover and Lucifer who also told me she was obsessed with my dress and wanted to steal it. Night made. :)

Sunday was a relax day. I finally woke up later than usual thanks to the time springing forward an hour. After doing some cleaning and blogging we headed to a local brewery for some beers and cards before heading home for dinner and a movie.

Happy Friday dolls! Hope everyone had a fantastic week! I spent Tuesday thinking it was Thursday since I had a work event after work (and those usually happen on Thursday) so my days were all messed up. Needless to say, I'm definitely happy and excited the weekend is here! I have a busy Friday and Saturday so I'm looking forward to some relaxing time on Sunday but for now I'm linking up with Amanda for our Friday favs!

1 // This week GiGi released their newest clutch, the Claire, and you can't tell me you aren't in love with this bag! The turn lock closure and the unstructured design, even the Parisian colors are gorgeous. It's definitely the perfect over sized clutch for the summer!

2 // I definitely consider leopard print a neutral so when I saw these shorts I knew I had to have them for summer. I have them in two colors already from last season so I already know they're super comfy and love that they're making them in prints now! And they're 40% off right now!
3 // How adorable are these espadrilles? They combine so many current fun trends and look like they are super comfy!
4 // I'm ready for summer, the beach and boat days! Definitely lusting after this fun Mara Hoffman bikini for it's fun print and the fact it's reversible. How awesome is two bikinis in one?
5 //  Speaking of the beach, I am in desperate need of a new beach/pool tote. How cute is this one? I love that it has a zippered pocket to hold my keys, id, etc and is big enough to hold my towel and other must have accessories!

Happy Thursday! I am definitely happy we're starting the downward slope toward the weekend. The time officially changes this weekend and as happy as I am that it will be lighter later I'm not sure if I'm ready for losing an hour. Especially when that means it's back to being pitch black when I leave my house to go to work. But that does mean warmer weather and longer days so I guess I'll take it! Speaking of warmer weather, I enjoyed some amazing temperatures at Disney this weekend so I took full advantage, spending as much time outside as possible.

When I saw this Lovers + Friends tank top on major sale I knew I had to scoop it up. I'm already a huge fan of all things striped (if you haven't noticed) and the back of it is so perfect for the spring and summer days. For some reason I usually go for things in black and white so it was nice to have something in navy and white to switch up my wardrobe a bit and I love that the navy gives it a slightly nautical feel. We headed over to Italy/France (in Epcot) to take these pictures and I loved that it wasn't overly crowded and you get the glimpses of "Lance" (in case you don't follow me on Snapchat, that's what I call Spaceship Earth, also known as the giant ball in the center of Epcot!) in the background. I paired the top with my comfy AE jeggings and my Converse since I knew I'd be walking ALL day and I topped off my look with a fun fringe necklace and of course my Magic Band ;)
