Happy Wednesday! Did anyone else ever play that weird Christmas elf bowling game where the elves sang "elf, elf baby" while you were lining up your shot? No? I didn't think so. I swear I'm not crazy though. Google it, I promise it's a real thing! Ok, enough of that. I recently received my latest e.l.f shipment and like always I was excited to tear into the package and see what I got. So far I've been incredibly impressed with almost everything I've gotten so it's like Christmas all over again getting to try out and play with everything. 

First up, the e.l.f Sunkissed Glow Bronzer. At only $2 this is a great bronzer for highlighting but not so much contouring. It gives an overall nice, natural glow with that barely sunkissed look but doesn't do much for me in the contouring department. It's very similar to my natural skin tone so it gives me a very natural look but with a hint of shimmer.

Next up is the Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadow in "Brownie Points". I'm a sucker for a good neutral eyeshadow so when I saw this color I knew it was going to be hit or miss. I love the creamy texture and how easily it goes on. The pigmentation is great and I just used my finger to apply. It's a bit darker than my normal every day shades but when applied with an eyeliner brush it makes a gorgeous creamy eyeliner that gives you a great everyday smokey eye without being too harsh.

Ya'll know how much I love a good lipstick so I was super excited to see the Runway Ready Lip Palette in my set this month. This is a limited edition lip palette which contains 6 gorgeous, creamy, pigmented colors and a brush. The color to the far left has been my every day go-to but the other colors are so fun to switch it up. I still haven't worn the color far to the right out but it's actually lighter on than it looks in the picture. It's not the highest quality lipstick but if you're looking for some fun colors to play with, for $8 you can't go wrong!

I really really wanted to love the Intense Ink Eyeliner but MAC has spoiled me when it comes to eyeliner. The pen is really easy to use and the color comes out super dark but on someone like me with a very active waterline, it tends to rub off a bit. I actually drew on my hand when I first got it just to see how the lines came out and the color but I noticed after I looked down at my hand about 15 mins later (yes, I was lazy and didn't wash it off right away... it's not my fault Vanderpump Rules was on) the color had gone from a solid line and spread into my little fine lines on my hand. 

I've expressed my love for e.l.f brushes many times now and this one is no exception. The Flawless Face Brush is a little more expensive than some of their other brushes but well worth it. I love that it's versatile enough to be used for different applications and not too large like a kabuki brush. I have not used it to apply any liquids or creams but it does a great job of blending powders. My only complaint with the e.l.f brushes is that I have a problem with the metal part that holds the actual brush separating from the wood handle. Does anyone else have this issue?

Happy Humpday lovelies! I recently got another group of elf products in the mail that I'm excited to share with you! I've been wanting to try out the elf skin care line for awhile now so when these showed up at my door I was super excited to test them out. I've continued to be impressed with the elf products and for the price you really don't have an excuse not to try it!

The e.l.f Flawless Eyeshadow is perfect for traveling or every day. The step by step "guide" helps you achieve a flawless look or you can use the shadows individually on their own. I love that the black doesn't have any shimmer in it which makes it before for lining your eyes if you don't have eye liner available.

The e.l.f Daily Hydration Moisturizer is an Allure 2015 Best of Beauty Award Winner and after using it, I see why. This is a very lightweight, lightly scented moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. I love that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin and dries relatively quickly. I only use it at night as I prefer a moisturizer with an SPF during the day. The Facial Massager is an "eh" in my opinion. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. I definitely didn't notice any huge changes in my skin after using it so I probably wouldn't purchase on my own.

The Cream Blush Palette is something I've never tried before. I usually stick to powder blush but I like that the cream blush is easily build-able and blend-able. You don't even need a brush to apply this blush, you can easily swipe it on with your finger tips to create a flushed glow. 

Last is the e.l.f. Satin Lipstick in Touch of Berry. I've been incredibly impressed with the e.l.f lipsticks so I had high hopes for this one but sadly I didn't love the color. The berry is a pretty shade but lately I've been more drawn to nudes so I think I would have preferred the nude color. This is a much lighter weight formula than the other lipsticks I've tried from e.l.f so it feels a bit more like a chapstick than a lipstick. I might give the nude color a try and see how I like it though!

Happy Tuesday... or in my case, Thursday! Which is a good thing since I got about... 4 hours of sleep last night. Maybe. So I'm a little tired right now. Anyway, I was super excited to get my newest round of e.l.f products in the mail last week just in time for the holidays! This is my favorite time of year to experiment with new products and looks so I was definitely happy to see several new eyeshadows this time around. It's always fun getting to try out a smokey eye or a fun shimmery look around the holidays and the e.l.f products do not disappoint!

e.l.f Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Smoked to Perfection -While I usually stick to more neutral colors like browns and taupes, I was excited to see these colors when I opened this palette. Most of the colors in this palette are shimmery so they're perfect for a night out and they glide on nice and smooth.

e.l.f Thick Tip Intense Ink Eyeliner - I don't usually use thick tipped eye liners so I was a bit hesitant about this but when I tried it I actually loved it! It resembles a magic marker so I basically just used like a marker and was extremely happy with how easily it went on and the nice straight line it made.

e.l.f.. Long Lasting Lusterous Eyeshadow in Toast -This reminds me more of a mousse type texture and while it isn't super pigmented it does have a lot of shimmer so it's perfect to get that beach goddess look or to go over top of a darker color to add some shine to a matte color.

e.l.f 3-in-1 Mascara -I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this mascara. I'm usually a mascara snob (it's the one product I usually don't go out of my comfort zone to try something new) so I was skeptical about this. While I wouldn't say it was better than some of my go-to's for mascara I'd definitely say it's a close second and a big improvement over most other drugstore brands I've tried in the past. The brush provided length and definition as well as volume without making my lashes clumpy.

 e.l.f Sculpting Face Brush -I've already raved about the e.l.f brushes and this one is no exception. I'd never tried a sculpting brush before but it really does make a difference in contouring. Before I had just used a regular brush but the dense bristles of the sculpting brush definitely provide more of a flawless finish and allow you to create that more defined look.

Happy December lovelies! Can you believe Christmas is 25 days away? I've definitely said this multiple times but this year has completely flown by. But now we're full swing into the holidays and I'm already experimenting with my holiday looks. I love that during the holidays it's perfectly acceptable to sparkle a little more than on an every day occurrence so I love experimenting with shimmery colors and highlighters this time of year. That's why it was perfect timing to receive my second shipment of e.l.f cosmetics to try out!

This time around I received the Illuminating Palette, the Prism Eyeshadow Palette in "Sunset", the Kiss it Goodbye Lip Color Remover, the Precision Liquid Eyeliner, the Moisturizing Lipstick in "Ravishing Rose" and the Mattefying Blotting Papers. Of course immediately after receiving this package in the mail I ran off to play with my new goodies!


The Illuminating Palette was by far my favorite thing in this set. The palette includes 4 gorgeous shades to mix and match or use on their own. The top left color is perfect to highlight your eyes or your cupid's bow to give the illusion of fuller lips. All of these colors are perfect for any skin tone and really give a soft glow perfect for the holidays.


The e.l.f  Precision Liquid Eyeliner was my second favorite which comes as no surprise since it's one of their best selling products. The tapered brush is a bit different from the liquid eyeliners I'm used to so I wasn't sure how I'd like it at first but I ended up loving the precision it gave. The liquid glides on smoothly and easily produces a thin or thicker line depending on what you want.


The Moisturizing Lipstick was the perfect rosy shade that goes great with a bold eye or just as an every day color. It's not too bold and not too light and glides on with a creamy finish. I was surprised at how impressed with the Kiss it Goodbye Lip Color Remover I was. I'm a huge fan of bold red lip colors and often notice even after washing my face that some of the color stays behind unless I scrub really hard, which I don't usually like to do. I was skeptical when I gave this a try on Saturday night after wearing a bold lip color our all night. I washed my face like usual and noticed that my lips were still stained so I reached for this little tube. I dabbed a little on my finger and rubbed it in and waited about 30 seconds before wiping it off with a cotton ball and voila, lipstick be gone! I'm definitely a believer now and will be using this every time I wear dark or bold lip colors!


 I'm still on the fence about the Mattefying Blotting Papers. I regularly use another brand of blotting paper so I had high expectations for these. The packaging is adorable and I love that it has a mirror included but I don't know if they work as well as my regular ones. They have a translucent powder on them so they absorb oil while also providing a matte finish. Going to use these a few more times before I make up my mind on them.


I loved the last Prism Eye Shadow Palette from e.l.f I received but these colors weren't really "me". The colors were gorgeous, extremely fitting of the name "Sunset", all were very luminous and shimmer and lasted all day. I definitely decided to have fun with this palette and try out some different looks. The gold and rose gold are perfect colors for the holidays to give yourself a warm glow.
