Happy Valentine's Day loves! I am SO sorry for my lack of replies to my post on Monday. I promise I read every single one and I actually read a bunch of your blog posts on my break but it's really hard to comment from my phone and considering my commute is an hour 1/2 to 2 hours some days, by the time I get home the last thing I want to do is jump on the computer. I promise I WILL get used to everything and get back into a schedule and start reciprocating soon so please just bare with me for another week or so. Speaking of my new job...so far everything is going great and with the exception of the crazy commute in, I couldn't be happier on the job front. I'm still getting adjusted to not having Novie around but every day it gets a little easier and having a new job to focus on definitely helps. All of your kind words have definitely helped too, I can't even tell you how much you guys have put a smile on my face when I really needed it. Ok, enough with life...let's chat about this outfit.

Excuse me for a minute while I shout from the mountain top how much I love this thermal top. Seriously though, if I could buy this top in every color (which happens to be 10 colors if you were wondering) I would wear it every single day and not feel the slightest bit bad about it. It's incredibly soft and flattering and the tie front detail is so adorable and it's incredibly versatile. I wore it here pretty much exactly how it's supposed to be worn but I've also worn it untied and tucked in with a few of the top buttons undone for an off the shoulder look, as well as completely unbuttoned and tied in the front with a lace cami peeking through. It's absolutely perfect for a chilly day and such a staple for any closet! If you don't have this thermal, I highly recommend you scoop it up before it's gone. I already have the beige and the berry sitting in my cart just ready to hit "buy" after I get my first full paycheck!

First off, thank you all for your kind words on Monday. It was definitely a tougher post to hit publish on and I hope now getting a glimpse into my personal life, you guys understand why I've been so sporadic in the blogging world lately. Reading all your support on Monday really made me wish I had shared some of this sooner so I wouldn't have been going through it all so alone! You guys really are the best! And despite the fact I could go on and on about how much I appreciate you all... let's get on to today's post! In case you were wondering, this is what someone who is completely frozen but still trying to be a fashion blogger looks like. I officially have a newfound respect for all my up north blogger friends who run out in freezing temperatures to take pictures because I was miserable, took less than 15 pictures and gave up. So to all my northern bloggers, props to you! Ok, now that I've complained about taking pictures in 30 degree weather with 15 mph winds, let's chat about how much I love this sweater, shall we?

I'm sure you've seen this sweater at least 2.38 billion times already because it seems like every blogger and their mom got it but when I saw it was on sale for $25 I caved and picked it up myself. Now I officially see why everyone had it, it's insanely soft, cozy and incredibly flattering. How often do you find an article of clothing that is flattering on almost every frame? That's right, never, but this sweater actually is the complete package. And I know I've talked about these boots before but I just cannot stop wearing them. As a petite girl, finding the perfect pair of over the knee boots is like finding a unicorn but these fit so well, are so warm and despite having a pretty decent heel on them, they're actually pretty comfy. I wore these while walking around for about 5 miles (don't get me wrong, we took lots of sitting breaks in between) and when I took them off at the end of the day I thought my feet would be killing me but they actually weren't that bad! And they definitely kept me warm so I won't complain. Seriously though, to all of my up north bloggers, how do you take pictures in the winter??

Happy Tuesday lovelies! I woke up wishing I was back in my comfy bed in Charleston waiting for my delicious breakfast to arrive but sadly I'm back in the real world and instead of figuring out our plans for the day I'm heading to work. We had a wonderful time in Charleston as you probably read yesterday but part of that was due to our amazing stay at The Spectator Hotel.

The Spectator is a gorgeous, brand new, boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Charleston near the Historic Charleston City Market. With only 41 rooms, you are guaranteed a personal experience from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. I arrived after the rest of my party had checked in so I can't attest to the check in process but I upon my arrival to The Spectator I was greeted by a friendly doorman and a gorgeous lobby with the hotel bar to the left. Immediately I fell in love with the 1920's style décor which was a mix between southern charm and flapper sophistication and all the personal touches.

Even the hallways are breathtakingly gorgeous with the clean lines, mirrors and crisp colors. Our double queen bed room was much larger than I expected but with only 41 rooms you get the luxury of having bigger rooms, and a huge bathroom! Pictures can't even come close to showcasing the beauty of the bathroom. It was what Pinterest bathroom dreams are made of, white everywhere with a huge glass walk in shower and a large mirror with two different lighting options. This bathroom was so large the three of us had absolutely no problems all getting ready together at the same time every day.

To add to the truly personal feel, the hotel offers free breakfast deliver to your room every morning by a butler on staff and a turn down service at night. The breakfast includes delicious mini quiches, fruit parfaits, charcuterie trays, pastries, coffee and more, so there really is something for everyone and you specify the time for breakfast to be delivered. They are still working out some kinks so we had some issues with things we requested getting forgotten but the staff was extremely friendly and always rushed out to get what was forgotten. My only complaint with breakfast would be that the plates they bring you are extremely small so it's tough fitting even a piece of toast on there. The turndown service was such a nice touch at the end of a long day. The staff leaves little shots of liqueur in chocolate on the nightstand and the most amazing robes out on the bed.

The hotel bar is small and quaint but perfect for grabbing an extremely fresh craft cocktail, wine or beer. For a hotel bar, the prices were great and the cocktails were delicious! The gorgeous decor continues into the bar with books scattered among the shelves and extremely comfy furniture to lounge on while enjoying your beverage.

One of my favorite additional features was the bikes they offer complimentary to guests staying at the hotel. Charleston isn't an overly large city but it can be rough walking every where so a bike is a great option to explore and sightsee with. The bikes offer adjustable seating which is great for someone like me who is on the shorter side and has a basket in the front and a little box in the back so the ladies don't have to worry about carrying their purses or leaving them behind and you can shop and have a place to store everything! They really did think of everything!

If you are ever in Charleston I highly recommend checking out The Spectator Hotel, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly; exuding southern hospitality, the rooms are large, clean and gorgeous and you can't beat the location. Happy Monday ya'll! I'm back from our blogger weekend in Chaaaalston (yup, I've got my southern drawl going) and I am exhausted! I'm sad and happy to be back. Our weekend felt like it went by so fast. We did SO much walking, it's crazy. But I'll get into that more in a few minutes since I'm linking up with my travel buddy, Biana, for our weekend recap! Just as a warning, it might be a bit long... A lot happened in 3 days!

So obviously you know I was in Charleston this weekend with Amanda and Biana for a little girl's getaway. We all left Thursday morning and I was supposed to be the last to get there at 1:10 pm but I had some minor issues. I took Silver Airways for the first time and let me just say... Not impressed. Our flight was delayed by like 3 hours due to "mechanical issues" so I didn't get to Charleston until almost 5 pm. Luckily (or maybe not luckily) I didn't miss much since the girls weren't able to get checked in until right before I got there any way. We stayed at a new boutique hotel right downtown called The Spectator which was gorgeous (more on our hotel experience later this week)! Pretty much right after arriving we headed out to get food since none of us had eaten since breakfast.

We headed out to Hank's Seafood Restaurant for some good food, good wine and great company. Of course since I don't eat seafood I opted for the fried chicken and it did not disappoint! After dinner we walked around and did some sightseeing we headed up to Pavilion Bar for some rooftop drinks and amazing views of Charleston and the bay. Storm blew in so we headed back to the hotel and just relaxed for a bit before calling it a night.

Friday morning we woke up and enjoyed our free breakfast delivered right to our room before heading out for more sightseeing. After some exploring we headed to Husk for lunch for a farm to table experience but I don't think B was expecting the farm to table experience she got. Amanda and I ordered burgers but B got the salad and right away she noticed something weird and mushy in it. After handing it over to our very personality deprived waiter she got about half way through eating her salad before being informed the mushy thing was a baby caterpillar (um. Ew.) so I think that pretty much ruined her appetite. Can't say I blame her! After lunch we did more walking around, 8 1/2 miles to be exact, before heading back to the hotel and getting changed for dinner and meeting up with some other blogger ladies.

Saturday we headed our for brunch with some other lovely bloggers who weren't able to meet up Friday night at Poogan's Porch. I'd like to say this experience was insect free but sadly it was not. About halfway through our meal we heard this loud rattle like noise. After trying to figure out what it was ands where it was coming from, Jillian tapped on me and that's when I saw the largest locust I have ever seen. Naturally the majority of us yelped and scattered until little miss Shelby stepped in and squashed our assailant.

After brunch we did more sightseeing, this time via a horse drawn carriage since we had done so much walking the day before. Then we headed out to dinner to Taco Boy for some delicious Mexican food and a crazy adventure. We made it our goal to hit up every rooftop bar in Charleston so we headed to our last stop, Stars, for our last night out.

There is so much more I could write but this is already long enough and I'm sure you guys have either already read Amanda and Biana's recaps or are on your way there soon so I won't keep you any longer! Charleston, you are extremely hot, have way too many bugs and my week will be recovering for weeks but you were good to us and I can't wait to come back!
