Happy Monday beauties! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Our weather was absolutely glorious here and I took every advantage I could to be outside and enjoy it. But today I'm not talking about my weekend, I'm talking about something I got to do before my weekend started. On Thursday my girl Kerri and I attended the grand opening of the brand new, gorgeous facility, Windermere Dental & Medical Spa and I just had to share our night with you.
 Kerri had been getting her eyebrows microbladed by Maegen, one of the owners of Windermere Dental & Medical Spa, for awhile (she's shared that experience on her blog so if you haven't checked it out, you need to!) so when she told Kerri she was opening a new spa and invited us to the grand opening, we knew we had to check it out. The event happened to coincide with Novie's second chemo treatment so I was extremely rushed to get ready and hesitant about going at all but I had made the commitment to go before Novie got diagnosed and to be honest, a fun girl's night out was definitely needed.

They definitely spared no expense on the decor and asthetic of the building. Every detail was obviously well thought out and despite the facility being both a dental and medical spa, the flow was seamless and everything felt very welcoming. One of the things I love is that not only do they offer a wide range of procedures at the spa but they also sell many products to take home that you can't find just any where. Living in Florida, we have to be extremely careful about taking care of our skin and when I saw that they carried one of my favorite sunscreen brands Colorescience, which is usually available online only, I knew they knew their stuff.

I have yet to participate in any of the procedures that Windermere Dental & Medical Spa offer but when and if I do decide to get anything done, I will definitely be going to Maegan and Dr. Jordan Kennedy. And I promise if and when I do that I will fully share my experience with you all! But for now, enjoy these pictures I took from the event and tell me this place isn't amazing.

Hello dolls! Hope everyone has had a fabulous week so far! The weekend is officially in sight and I don't know about you but I am definitely ready! By now you've probably heard about or at least seen these Tiffany Blue bears somewhere on social media and if not, it's possible you've been living under a rock. After seeing them pretty much everywhere and seeing almost every female celebrity (I'm looking at you Kardashians, Jenners, Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Ratajkowski and more) talking about these I decided to give them a try.
If you know me, you know that my hair is definitely one of my biggest insecurities. As I've gotten older my hair has gotten much thinner and it's always been fine so it's difficult to curl and keep curled, it splits easily among other things so anything that promises to help those issues I'm willing to give a try. If you haven't heard of SugarBearHair, I'll give you a quick run down before we go into my rundown. SugarBearHair claims to feature 15 natural vitamins (such as A, C, D and E) and minerals including zinc, Biotin and B-12, as well as coconut oil, additives and sugar all of which are supposed to promote hair growth, increased hair shine and reduce hair breakage in a sweet tasting gummy to encourage you to want to take your vitamins. Two things I will note that are missing from SugarBearHair are protein and iron which are both key ingredients in hair growth. The gummy is a pretty Tiffany Blue color (hello my favorite color!) and is in the somewhat shape of a bear. Some of the gummies came out looking like a severely deformed bear but I won't judge them on that. Ok, now that you know the basics let's talk about what happened when I tried SugarBearHair for 30 days.
First I'll note that I'm not a huge fan of gummies. I take gummy vitamins because it's pretty much the easiest way to convince me to take vitamins but given my choice of candy, gummies would be pretty far down on the list. These however were definitely the exception to my rule. I popped my first one and was immediately addicted. They aren't too chewy or soft and they taste like dessert, no joke, they are seriously delicious. After taking my daily allotment of two, I was craving more but I didn't want to mess up my trial so I withheld my craving until the next day. I didn't exactly measure my hair before taking these but I did know about where it was down my back so I had some basis to go off of, even if it wasn't 100% accurate. Right away I noticed that my hair held a curl better (still not perfect) and it lasted longer, but this could also be attributed to the lower humidity we've been having here in Florida lately so I won't say that was definitely from the gummies. After two gummies a day for 30 days I'd say my hair has grown maybe 1/2 an inch, still breaks easily but it is shiner and softer feeling. So all in all, not overly great results and certainly not anything dramatic. In all fairness, maybe you have to use these for more than 30 days to see any major changes but I wouldn't say these are a miracle worker of hair. Would I buy them again? Probably. But it'd probably be more for the taste than anything. I wonder if one of their secret ingredients is crack? I kid. Kind of. 

Happy Friday babes! Getting real here today and talking about some insecurities. Like a lot of people, I had braces when I was younger but my braces left behind evidence they were once there. The glue left behind a discoloring on my teeth that's faint to see to everyone else but to me it's one of the main things I see when I smile. I've always had sensitive teeth too so whitening was always a struggle for me. Even though up until recently I didn't drink coffee (and I only usually have a cup a day during the week), I don't really drink red wine and I don't drink soda, I always envied people with sparkling, pearly white teeth but thought it was out of reach for me.

3.  Mail in your impressions with the pre-paid envelope included.
4. Once you receive your clear trays in the mail, you're ready to try out your whitening kit!
5. Line each clear tray with the whitening gel and leave on for a specific amount of time (this varies based on how long you want to keep them in. I started with 30 mins).
6. Rinse and use desensitizing gel.
7. Repeat as needed and enjoy a brilliant white smile!

Depending on how often you use them and how long you keep the trays in, you can see results almost immediately. Since I know I have sensitive teeth and gums I spaced out my sessions and kept the trays in for a shorter amount of time at first but the desensitizing gel really helps! It's definitely far more effective than whitening toothpaste or strips. One of the things I love about Smile Brilliant is the trays are actually molded to fit your teeth and you aren't using oversized trays that are uncomfortable and don't fit in your mouth or strips that never stay put. I also love that the entire process is done in the comfort of your own home. As someone who fears (I mean seriously fears) going to the dentist, I wanted whiter teeth but not so badly I was willing to sit in the dentist office so this is a perfect and affordable solution for me!

Not to toot my own horn or to sound weird but I always seem to get comments about how great my legs look. The first time I ever heard it, I was completely baffled because even though I love working out, I definitely neglect my legs. In fact, the only thing I loathe more than squats and lunges is cardio. That is until I discovered spinning.

My addiction to spinning started about 5 years ago and I'm not even kidding when I say that after my first class I never wanted to go back again. For the longest time I had gorgeous, long lashes that never needed a coat of mascara to touch the inside of my glasses lens (yes, I used to wear glasses). Then as I got older I noticed they weren't quite as long as they used to be so I tried everything to get them to go back to being as long and luxurious as they once were. While eyelash extensions are all the rage right now, they definitely are not for me. Don't get me wrong, who doesn't love the look of eyelash extensions, but I am not one who is able to sit in a chair for 3 hours while having them applied and when it comes to maintenance I am just about as low maintenance as they come. Comb them every day, be gentle when removing eye makeup, don't get them wet for 24 hours? Yeah, not happening.

 For me, using all of these on a daily basis would be completely overkill. I'm all about those long, luxurious lashes but I'm also all about simplicity and low maintenance. The primer wasn't enough to make me want to stop buying my regular primer and while I did like the look of the Lengthy Fiber Mascara layered over another mascara I can't say I'd definitely run out any buy it however the other two products are something I would definitely purchase again! Happy Wednesday friends! Tell me I'm not the only one who stands in her closet full of clothes and thinks "I have absolutely nothing to wear"? This is such a common occurrence for me it's almost scary. Even though I know I have plenty to choose from, sometimes I just don't want to wear anything I already own and too often I buy something, wear it a few times and then wonder why I even bothered to buy it. So when Le Tote contacted me about trying them out I definitely jumped at the opportunity!

Ok, now let's talk about my experience thus far.After signing up and selecting my style profile I was given 48 hours to either accept the pieces they had picked out for me or "shop" for other pieces to replace anything. You can choose to replace one item or all five if you wish and once you've made your selection you can change your mind again within that 48 hours or select "finalize my box" and it will be on it's way! One of the things I was most impressed with about Le Tote was the shipping. From the time I "finalized my box" to the time it was waiting for me on my front porch was only two days, making it perfect for ensuring you have something to wear over the weekend.
I kept my things for about a week but there is no real time limit on how long you can keep things so if you like something but aren't sure right away if you want to buy it you have the opportunity to wear it a few times before sending it back. While I was trying out my box Le Tote sent me an e-mail letting me know one of the items in my box was on sale and to be completely honest, that was the deciding factor on whether I wanted to keep one of the dresses in my first box. The dress fit me perfectly and I loved the print and colors but when I heard I could keep my Sam Edelman dress for only $29, I knew it wasn't going to be returned!


When it was time to send back the remaining items I didn't want to keep, you simply put everything into the pre-labeled bag and put it back in the mail. I was extremely surprised when later that day I got a text from a number I didn't recognize only to find out it was Le Tote texting me to let me know my box was in route back and my next box was preparing to ship out. Happy Friday eve everyone! I am finally starting to get back in the swing of things after being on vacation and out on Monday traveling for work. Of course tomorrow I have to travel again for work so I'm just going to get thrown all off again but at least after that it will be the weekend, right? I have to admit, I'm super sad to be recapping my trip on the day I was prepping to leave for it last week but it was fun getting to go through all the pictures!

As you all were already aware, for Memorial Day weekend Kerri, the boys and I all headed down to the Florida Keys for our yearly getaway. This time instead of heading ALL the way down to Key West (well, we almost made it there one day but that will be explained in another post) we stopped on the second major island, Islamorada. We headed out super early Friday morning and arrived to our final destination right around lunchtime so we stopped at a little place right on the water called Hog Heaven.  This place had amazing views, good food and the most delicious Key Lime Colada. A perfect way to start out our vacation.

After lunch it was still a bit too early to check into our hotel so we decided to check out two local breweries, Islamorada Beer Company and Florida Keys Brewing. I'll share some more on those later because who doesn't love a good beer post, right?

After the breweries it was time to check in and explore our resort, The Guy Harvey Islander Resort. Super gorgeous property, the rooms were clean and comfy and you couldn't beat their beach. If you don't know anything about The Keys, they aren't exactly known for their beaches. Since The Keys are actually a chain of exposed coral reef, all of the beaches are man made so a lot of resorts won't have very nice beaches or a beach at all.

Saturday we decided to spend the day relaxing in our pool floats in the ocean. There's no better therapy than a little salt water, sunshine and fruity cocktails.

After we were all cooked to the appropriate temperature; medium rare of course ;)  we got cleaned up and headed over to another resort just down the road, the Cheeca Lodge for some food and libations. The grounds of this resort are absolutely stunning but the beach wasn't as good as ours and the drinks were super pricey. It was still nice to sit on the beach, relax with a glass of wine in hand. I mean seriously, you can't beat those views!
