Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I did a little shopping and picked up a few things I've had my eye on lately. Am I the only person who falls in love with something on the hanger, tries it on and finds it doesn't quite fit perfectly but you love it so much that you bring it home any way and try to figure something out? Being as short as I am this happens to me a lot! I'll fall in love with a maxi dress or skirt or even a pair of jeans and find that they're inches too long on me but can't part with them so they end up sitting in my closet.
Sadly I'm a danger to myself and my clothes with a needle and thread so I was beyond excited when I came across the Scotch™ Essentials line at Target in the closet section by sewing machines and kits!
Scotch™ Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape is perfect for making adjustments on the go! You can easily change the length for flats or heels temporarily without worrying about ruining your clothes or making the commitment on one length.
The Scotch™ Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips are perfect no-sew option for permanent hem changes. Whether you're hemming your favorite pair of jeans or if you need to shorten those curtains you just had to have the Permanent Hem Bonding Strips are the perfect no risk solution and it's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Turn the item to be hemmed (in my case it was my black jeans) inside out.
2. Slowly peel the brown strip back away from the white sheet. Then carefully position the strip where you want the new hemline to be on the item.
3. Carefully peel off the top brown backing and rub firmly. Voila!

One of my favorite products is the Scotch™ Essentials Wardrobe Tape Strips. These little gems are perfect for fixing wardrobe malfunctions and keeping you feeling well...secure all night! They come in a cute little carrying tin that makes it perfect to toss in your bag and go and you'll have piece of mind knowing you'll never have a wardrobe malfunction again.
Now through September 2nd you can save $1.00 off on Scotch™ Essentials at Target so check it out for yourself!

I need to pick some of this up! I am always altering clothes at the tailor because things are always too long even when you're 5'6!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I need to add to my Target shopping list for sure. Thanks for the introduction!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these but I will definitely need to check them out! I can't always make it to my tailor before events when I need things hemmed so this would be so helpful!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! I hate having to adjust the cuff on my pants throughout the day. Genius!

My mom swears by these things! I need to get some because I'm seriously the worst sewer!
ReplyDeleteWow these look so cool! Definitely convenient for fashion emergencies! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of these - must check them out!
ReplyDeleteAdding the hem tape to my Target list! I have about five things that need it. I love how it made the jeans turn out!
ReplyDeleteI desperately need some of this to keep with me at all times! I recently had a gaping problem with one of my blouses, and this would have been the perfect thing to help me out in that situation!
ReplyDeleteI need to find these asap-- they look like a lifesaver for someone with super short legs!
ReplyDeleteThose seem great! Are they only good for one use until you can get them officially hemmed or is it good for the long term. Being able to adjust clothes I think is super important or your wardrobe is so limited. http://mymonochromaticlife.com
ReplyDeleteI totally need to try this! Perfect for us shorties and love that phone case!

I keep these in my desk at work! I have a lot of "wardrobe malfunctions" in the chest area but never thought of using them to shorten my pants! Great idea !
ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect! I actually can't sew a thing! I had to have my mom hem some pants over the weekend because I can't do it. This would have worked great for a quick fix.

Yep I had no idea this was a thing!! Love it, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGood to know about this! I have a few pairs of skinny jeans that a too long and bunch up at the bottom so this is the perfect little fix because I'm the same as you with a needle and thread. lol
ReplyDeleteOk I seriously need this! Especially since I'm short and my jeans are ALWAYS so long!

this is so brilliant! i don't have the too short problem, but often i will let a hem down to make something longer and then i can't hem it back up because i also kinda suck with a needle and thread, so this would be perfect for that as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I definitely need to pick up a few of these!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I love my scotch essentials too - the wardrobe tape is such a must!
