Sequins and Sea Breezes: Neutral Color Blocking

Neutral Color Blocking

1/16/2014

I am loving shift dresses lately! I love that you can add a skinny belt or a wide belt, heels or flats, a little bit of jewelry or a jacket and completely change the look of the dress. I found this amazing color block dress on Lulu*s (they have it in other colors if you aren't really into the neutral look) and I immediately jumped on it. The first time I wore the dress was out to dinner and I paired it with a floppy hat and a leather jacket but this time I wanted to go for a more structured look so I added a skinny belt and my favorite Vince Camuto booties. Maybe in the future I'll do another post featuring this dress but wear it in a more casual look like I originally did and you guys can decide which way you think it looks best. It's an added bonus that the dress can easily be worn in pretty much every season!

dress: lulu*s / belt: target / booties: vince camuto / clutch: express {old, similar here} / watch: michael kors / bracelets: stella & dot / necklace: ann taylor loft {old, similar here} / lips: mac in sweet grenadine / sunglasses: ray-ban
