Sequins and Sea Breezes: Embroidered Drop Waist

Embroidered Drop Waist

5/04/2017

Happy Friday eve and almost Cinco de Mayo! Cinco is one of my favorite holidays because it gives me an excuse to indulge on queso and margaritas... not that I need an excuse! I could easily eat Mexican food every day, it's definitely a bit of an obsession. Ok enough food talk, let's talk about this adorable dress that's perfect for celebrating Cinco! I went to Mexico years ago and saw all of these gorgeous embroidered tops and dresses and ever since then I've always kind of associated anything embroidered with Mexico.
When I saw this dress right before I left for Vegas, I knew I had to grab it. The dropped waist is one of my favorite silhouettes on a dress because it elongates you and can make you look thinner (why yes, I will have that second bowl of queso!).  I also love that it's nice and flowy making it super comfortable on hot days and of course when you're stuffing your face. Can you tell I have a major theme here today? And it's definitely not clothes haha! I think subconsciously I'm missing how much I ate in Vegas. They served us breakfast every morning and then we got lunch and a mid afternoon snack before dinner so I was eating WAY more than I usually do. Luckily I was walking way more and waking up pretty early so I got some gym time in and managed to not gain any weight while I was out there but man am I missing all the food at my finger tips. Get ready for me Cinco de Mayo... I plan on eating all your queso!
