Sequins and Sea Breezes: Tassled Maxi

Tassled Maxi

2/26/2015

Happy Thursday dolls! I'm so happy it's Friday-eve. I was feeling a bit under the weather Tuesday and Wednesday but I'm feeling better today so I am ready for the weekend! So, I'm usually not very big on super low cut things. Mainly because when you have a little something up top low cut things mean wearing a bra usually is a no-go and well, I kinda need that support. But when I saw this dress I absolutely fell in love with it and I knew I was going to have to step outside my comfort zone and get it. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely not something I'd wear to work or out some place fancy, but it is cute for vacations, brunch, and just running around on those warm weekends!

The pattern on this dress is definitely what I feel in love with the most. I love the tribal/geometric print and the navy and white colors. Not to mention the tie detail at the shoulders is so fun (although it can be a bit dangerous so I do recommend double knotting!). For this look I decided to keep it really casual (I mean, is any one really surprised there?) and threw on a jean jacket, some layered necklaces and of course my favorite "I didn't do my hair today" hat. Which yes, you can totally tell I didn't do my hair :) I'm definitely glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought this dress, I can't see myself doing it too often but it definitely made a nice addition to my maxi dress collection!

  11. I LOVE that dress! I have a couple of those that are more low cut and definitely don't think they are appropriate for carting Cruz around to soccer practice, but give me a girls getaway or a beach vacay and it's on! =)
