Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

4/30/2018

Guys. Can we talk about how today is the last day of April? What the heck? Where did this month go? There were multiple days this month that I thought it was still March so I'm definitely not ready for May but considering one of my favorite holidays is right around the corner, I'll take it.
I started out my weekend with a little pre Cinco celebrations. Any excuse to eat queso and drink margaritas is a favorite day of mine! I'm a sucker for Mexican food so this was the perfect way to end a Friday.  I mean seriously, how amazing does this look?

Saturday was a gorgeous day and luckily I had plans to spend it outside at a music festival in Jacksonville with some new friends. I'm definitely glad I went but it's not really my scene so I definitely wouldn't do it again. Love the people I went with and we had a blast but I spent the majority of my day being petrified of being injured by a mosh pit or crowd surfers. Seriously, does anyone understand why people crowd surf? It absolutely blows my mind.

Sunday I ended up doing a lot of relaxing thanks to a bit of a headache I had. I don't know if it was all the loud music from the day before or from being outside in the sun all day but I had the worst sinus headache so I took a nap and got caught up on some tv shows since I was actually really busy after work most days this week. Is anyone else watching Southern Charm? Cameron is seriously my spirit animal, she cracks me up!

And with that, I hope everyone has a fantastic week! Hopefully I'll post more than once this week... fingers crossed!

  4. I've never understood crowd surfing either, and I'm sure with your recent injury it was all the more reason to keep a cautious distance - ha! Still looks like an amazing festival, and that wine garden is calling my name! Cheers to a fabulous week <3

  9. Hooray for Cinco de Mayo! We already have some big plans for fajitas and margaritas! And I’m glad that you had a good time with new friends, but I would have been terrified of the mosh pit too!

  11. I absolutely love your outfit for the festival! I have never crowd surfed, or understood it. I used to be more of a mosh pit girl but the older I get I'm just like "can't we all just stand here and enjoy the music... why must we push & shove??"

  14. Cute outfit you wore at the music festival! I agree with you on mosh pits. I got trampled in one by a group of guys at House of Blues years ago so I'm permanently scarred. What kind of people mosh pit with no concern for the safety of others?! Ridiculous! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

  15. Being out in the sun already (especially with alcohol involved) always gives me massive headaches
