Happy halfway through the week day! I am definitely digging this short week thing. It feels even shorter with my offsite meeting all day yesterday but I do have a lot of catching up to do for work since I've been out of the office for the past four days.  I know traditionally Labor Day kinda marks the end of summer and beginning of fall but it is definitely far from fall temperatures down here. We did get a taste of some slightly cooler weather for a day or two but it's easily back up in the upper 80's again so I'm still living in "summer" attire. 

However, this dress is definitely the perfect transition piece for summer to fall for me. It's casual, comfy and you can easily throw on a jean jacket and some booties to make it more "fall" appropriate. You're not going to believe where I got this cute, casual dress either... Abercrombie! Abercrombie is the one store in the mall (when I actually go to the mall) that I usually breeze right past, not paying it a bit of attention but lately they've been enticing me in with cute outfits in the window. That's exactly how I came across this dress! At first I wasn't sure how the knotted waist would look but it's more flattering than I thought it would be and I love the olive color. I kept it pretty casual with this look, pairing the dress with my Converse while I ran errands and did some shopping. What's your favorite summer to fall transitional piece?

Happy Thursday! Is it just me or is it completely crazy that we are only 3 days away from August? Where did this summer go? Don't get me wrong, the summer temperatures are definitely still in full force here and don't show any signs of cooling off any time soon but it's crazy to me that July is almost over.

I've been loving getting out and doing things around town from visiting local breweries to playing tourist and playing putt putt on I-Drive which is exactly what we did the day I took these pictures! Well, first we had a few cocktails but after it cooled off a bit, we headed over to the mini links and got our game on. It was a pretty competitive guys versus girls face off. I'm pretty sure that second shot of tequila probably threw our game off a little bit but Kerri and I still killed it! This was the perfect outfit for a hot, summer evening; casual and comfy but still cute. The 90's styles are definitely making a comeback and this is most likely about as close to a 90's look you're going to see me in but I felt pretty happy with my nod to the 90's without going too over the top. In true bestie fashion, Kerri and I both showed up wearing very similar outfits, completely unplanned! But in all honesty, can you ever go wrong with a white tee and jean shorts? I didn't think so ;)
