Weekending

Happy Monday! Today is officially the last day of fall, can you believe it? We got a bit of a cold front over the weekend but like I suspected, it didn't last long. Today is supposed to be a high of 82, so much for those winter temperatures. This has been such an abnormally warm fall for us so far. I'm worried Mother Nature is either going to remember and make it a long, harsh winter or we're not going to get much of a winter at all. I guess we'll find out soon! I'm going to be pretty MIA today as I'm flying to Miami for work for the day but if I have internet on the plane I'll reply as soon as I can! Linking up with the gorgeous Biana for our weekend recap!
Friday night I headed out with Kate and the boys on the train to Winter Park for too much some champs on Park Ave. The train is ending it's late night service today so we wanted to take advantage one last time before late night becomes 8 pm LOL. Dinner wasn't the best experience but we checked out a speakeasy and it was pretty fun! We ended up staying out way later than I originally planned, which of course resulted in me falling asleep while out but what else is new? Being old sucks.
Saturday I relaxed in the morning before running out to do some blog pictures and last minute Christmas errands. Later that evening I met up with Kerri to check out a local bar that recently relocated to a new spot.We got there early so we got to enjoy the new space before it got crowded. It's super cute but kind of a pain that they're cash only. After that we headed over to Brass Tap for a nightcap and the fight which was literally over by the time we sat down.
Sunday was spent wrapping Christmas presents and watching football. My Bengals pulled out a win even without our starting QB so we're playoff bound!
And now I'm on my way to the airport to head down south for the day. Wish me luck... at least my airplane has a parachute...

Sounds like you had a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it is the last day of fall! It feels like spring outside! That is awesome your team is play off bound...I am so embarrassed to be a Cowboys fan at this moment lol And I am really into football, so this season has been so depressing for me. Have an awesome week and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt finally felt like winter here in Philadelphia this weekend! However, it's getting back up to 60-70 degrees on Christmas.. Not winter like at all! Looks like you had a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteHopefully you have a better travel experience than you did in Charleston! I need to check out that rifle paper store, I love their products so pretty!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a lot of champs on Friday, but so much fun taking the train and finding the speakeasy! How pretty is that Rifle Paper Store?! And a bar that only accepts cash in 2015? Cheers to a fabulous short week <3

Fun weekend! I love a good speakeasy though I've totally been there with the whole falling asleep thing :) I can't believe winter officially starts tomorrow, it still feels so nice up here (and will be hitting 70 on Christmas Eve!).
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend! Congrats on your team being playoff bound!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I love Rifle Paper Co. - I bet you found some good stuff! Have fun in Miami :)]

ReplyDeleteI feel ya on the hot weather! It's going to be 79 here on Christmas Day! Yuck!
ReplyDeleteAlly- Life as I know it
It sounds like you had a fun filled weekend with some of your favorite girls! The late night train ride sounds like a lot of fun, even if the food wasn't very good. And hooray for the Bengels making the playoffs! It can be tough losing one of your starters, especially the QB, but glad your boys made it through!
ReplyDeleteoh that is a pain that it's cash only, kind of silly in this day and age! too much champs, no such thing ;) lol. i am not gonna lie, i'm loving the weather but i just know we'll be paying for it and it will be snowing in like april or something. boo.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! Happy Christmas week!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Miami! Who Dey!
ReplyDeletethe last day of fall..it's true...very nice pics dear

82 sounds like a dream! But I'm with you on being slightly paranoid, this warmer (even here) weather means winter is going to be awful later on. Sounds like a fun, and productive weekend! Hope your trip down to Miami is uneventful :)
ReplyDeleteI love the drinks at that Speakeasy place! What a fun weekend spent out and about with friends. Safe travels to Miami!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!! I totally forgot it's going to "officially" be winter ... as soon as Christmas is over I'll be ready for summer, lol!
ReplyDeleteA great weekend for sure! We don't have highs quite like 82, but it's supposed to be pretty warm on Christmas. So much for cold weather!

The SunRail sounds so cool! And I feel you on the warmer weather - it hasn't even been really cold up here (supposed to be 61 on Wednesday which is insane!) and I'm scared that this means winter is going to go into May, lol!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your nights out look like such fun! It's funny you fell asleep while out but seriously, I can't make it late ever anymore - I think I was tucked into bed at our hotel just after 11 on Saturday because I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore - glad I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your Bengals on making the playoffs!! Looks like you had such a fun weekend. That speakeasy sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a safe flight girl! Such a fun weekend with the best ladies! Love your hair in the last picture- great style for you!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe flight girl!! Chicago has had an unseasonably warm fall/winter so far so I'm not entirely sure what this means as far as how long the cold is lasting. Boo about cash only, really big pain, but at least the food looks delish!
ReplyDelete82 degrees??? NOOOOO!!!! It's going to be damp and warm here too :(
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun night but girl you are not old!

It's been so warm for us too (although not 80s haha). I wish we had snow now, and then warmer temps in January and February. Looks like a fun weekend even though you fell asleep while out lol
ReplyDeleteIsn't Park Social so fun?! I love that place and their drinks are so yummy! I swear these warm temps are killing me! Saturday was so perfect I wish it would stay like that! Happy Xmas week!

ReplyDeletethose pretzals look so good! and i agree, it's so wierd that it's not cold out. i live in the midwest and by this time last year it was like 1 degree out, and on christmas it's supposed to be upwards of 60 degrees! totally ruining my christmas spirit, but what can ya do?!
ReplyDeleteif you get the chance i'd love for you to check out my blog! have a merry Christmas! :)
love, rach.
So, hi.
Sounds like you had a great weekend!

Hope your work trip to Miami goes well! I have the same worry about winter-it has been insanely mild here in Chicago, and I'm just hoping that it doesn't mean it will be rough in January!
ReplyDeleteI love that you guys went to a speakeasy. They are so fun

Looks like a fun weekend, especially the champs and the food. Hope the Miami trip went well! :)!
ReplyDeleteHard to wrap my head around the fact that today it's "Winter." It's 55-60 here today. First time ever in North East Ohio. Usually we have 2 ft of snow by now! Can't say I'm complaining. What red lippie are you wearing in the last photo? It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you had a fun weekend! I love that you girls found a speakeasy - that sounds so fun!
ReplyDeleteFun weekend! And I've been known to fall asleep a time two too lol
