We just came in from Cuba!

{Sorry for the quality on these, back to the iPhone since taking the nice camera on the boat seemed like a bad idea}
I'm such a crazy morning person, I literally can't sleep in at all so I spent a lot time walking around the island in the mornings before everyone else was up which actually ended up to be a good thing. Most people in Key West sleep in from partying the night before so it was almost like I had the island to myself. Fun fact, there is NO better time to go to the Southernmost Point than before 9 am. I didn't wait even a minute to take this picture but if you go in the afternoon you can end up waiting forever.

I've been to the keys a few times but usually just pit stops on cruises!! The house you all stayed at sounds AMAZING!! Free breakfast and drinks every day- winning!! The drive is always brutal, but at least you guys had a great time relaxing!! xo
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful pictures!! Now I really really really want to visit!! I love all of the old houses. It sounds like an amazing trip!

"We finally made it from Cuba" -- priceless! And yes that drive is brutal, but like you said it's totally worth it. Boo to Southwest for discontinuing service from Orlando :-P
ReplyDeleteThat place you stayed at looks SO cute! I wish I took more photos of ours too, fail. I still need to write about mineeee!
ReplyDeleteWhat I would do to be in that hammock. Is it friday yet?
ReplyDeleteIt looks simply beautiful there! I had no idea Ernest Hemingway had a 6-toed cat ... haha, guess I learned something new today! If we ever visit Key West, I'd like to go in his house just because I'm a literary nerd.
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun!! Jealous :)

Hahahahaha I love that a lady said Welcome to America! Hahaha! That's awesome! Usually the 6 toe cats are running around Earnest Hemmingways house so you don't have to go inside! I saw a bunch last time I was there! So cute!! Love the house! So pretty!

Looks like an awesome trip! I've been itching to make it down to Key West but the drive is quite exhausting. I was thinking of looking into the Key West Express that leaves from Ft Myers to see how much time that saves. Free breakfast and happy hour sound like my kind of hotel too so will check it out!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty pictures girl, looks like a wonderful place to spend an annual vaca :)
ReplyDeleteI made a list of places I wanted to go with DG for the next few years. I just updated it with Key West and wrote down the name of the hotel you stay at. This looks incredible! And love the little story about the Cubans! :) xo
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to head to Key West ASAP! It looks gorgeous!

sounds like such a fun trip! Brittani's been to key west a lot, its so gorgeous there and a lot of fun, you have to get a green thing (a daiquiri type drink) next time you're down there, its by where the cruise ships dock and that cute little outdoor restaurant at the end of the pier where you can watch the gorgeous sunsets on the water at a small little stand!

ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful and fun. I'm NOT a morning person but always jealous of how much people get done when they r...it takes me a good hour to feel awake even though I have a baby!
