Sequins and Sea Breezes: Friday Five

Friday Five

4/03/2015

Happy Friday lovelies! At first I felt like this week was dragging and then yesterday I was in non-stop meetings from 10:30 am to 4 pm (I didn't even get lunch!) and I realized there are not enough hours in the day to get stuff done! This year is flying by and I need it to slow down a bit. Although I am super excited for consistent sunshine and warm days and not to mention those afternoon thunderstorms Florida is known for. Beach days are right around the corner! Kate and I have been talking about  renting a boat soon and that always has me feeling like it's summer. There's just something about being out on a boat with a cocktail in hand listening to island tunes that has me pretending I'm on vacation somewhere else! Ok, enough with my summer dreaming, let's get into our Friday Favorites with my blogger love, Amanda!

1. Can we just talk about how cute this romper is?!? Totally obsessed with the back. The floral and the stripes are so perfect and love the detailing, it's so sexy but still classy.

2. Ok ladies, I need some help here. I have a friend's wedding coming up and I want to buy a pretty new dress for it but I can't decide between these two. The wedding is in the evening at a country club, both the bride and the groom are very laid back so it's not going to be super formal but I still want to look nice. What do you think? Floral or marble?

3. I keep going back and forth between wanting a FitBit and not. I'm really hesitant as to whether it would track what I'm looking to track and whether it'd work with my ridiculously tiny wrists even. I'm absolutely loving the new Tory Burch FitBit accessories but I still just can't decide on whether it'd be worth it or not...

  4. Can we talk about how fun these earrings are? I love all the colors, perfect for any outfit or the perfect pop of color with black! I need these in my life.

5. Finally getting my tan back so it's time to break out the Sun Beam again! I seriously love this stuff!! It gives you such a pretty sun-kissed glow! It makes me feel like I just got back from vacation.

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I'm going to try to catch up on all the work I didn't get to yesterday when I was in back to back meetings then relax!

  1. YAY, Friday! I agree the year is moving quickly, but since it's birthday month now I don't care ;)!

I love both dresses but think the floral one is more wedding, since it has less white. That's a personal preference though, you would look smashing in either. I love me some sunbeam, that stuff is awesome!

    Have a great day, lady!

  2. Both of those dresses are gorgeous, and it is hard to decide between the two, but I guess I would go with the marble one because I love the hem detail. Have a fabulous weekend!

  4. Both dresses are beautiful - but I think the floral! I don't know why I've never tried Sun Beam! It sounds exactly like something I would like. Have a great weekend!!

  5. oh that romper is adorable!! you need it. as for the dresses - i think you can't go wrong with either, but that marble one would look fabulous on you! although, it's mainly white, so maybe floral? you really can't go wrong though! have a good weekend doll.

  6. That romper is fab! And those maxis -- gorgeous! I love both, but I'm almost leaning towards the marble...! I just can't decide! Happy Weekend!

  7. Those dresses are gorgeous, but I love the dramatic dip in the front of the first one (floral). I've been back and forth on getting a fit bit too, and also drooled over the TB ones. I've heard they're the same exact thing, you're just paying a lot more for the TB emblem which I typically get suckered into.

And YES to renting a boat, let's make that happen soon ok?

    Happy Friday gurlie <3

  8. I'm voting for the floral dress, though both are gorgeous! Your mention of the boat rental (with cocktails, naturally) has me dreaming of summer too...and while I wait for things to warm up here, I'll add boating to my summer bucket list!

  9. How cute is that romper?! Oh that's a hard one! I love both of those dresses! The floral looks a little bit more dressy and the marble a little more laid back... Seriosuly I love them both haha! So I guess you can't go wrong either way! I hope you have a great Easter weekend!

  10. I love those dresses! Personally I think the marble is too white for a wedding guest to wear (even though I love it! Where’s it from??), so my vote would be for the floral black one!

  11. I don't think you can go wrong with either dress for the wedding that you're attending, but I'd have to echo Ashley's thoughts above - I try to steer clear of any sort of white at a wedding, so I think the black/floral one is your best bet! Girl, I'm with you about the FitBit - I just can't decide if I should make the plunge or not. Hope you have a great weekend!

  12. I vote for the floral dress! I don't know about the FitBit. I had/have an Up band (that stopped working right) and it was kind of annoying to wear around my tiny wrists. You get used to it eventually though, but make sure to get one that won't shore dirt easily. I don't know if I'd get a new one or not, but those TB ones are cute!

  13. I need some Sun Beam! I love both dresses, but that marble one is so gorgeous, it gets my vote! I hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy the sunshine and hopefully some thunderstorms and cocktails! xo

  14. love that marble dress! so much that i want to go buy it!

and i LOVE my fitbit. it syncs with my fitness pal, and tracks everything i need to know. i have the charge and i think it's totally worth it. love the tory accessories, but it's not needed in my opinion. have a great friday!

  15. Those earrings are adorable! They would be so fun for any summer outfit! I have never done a romper, I feel like the whole bathroom side of it just scares me away from them, but I have seen some really cute ones at Target lately! Maybe I'll have to try one this summer! Have a great weekend girl!

  16. love the marble print dress personally but you could rock either! also - i love my fitbit even if i haven't been wearing it but don't get the tory accessories. i lost my fitbit from a crappy clasp. i mean they could be better now but what a waste! luckily fitbit sent me a new one once i explained it was due to the dumb tory band. anyway, i'm so glad it's the weekend! hope you have a happy easter! love love love! xo

  19. I think that marble dress is ah-mazing!!! Both are great choices, but personally I'd go with marble because it definitely seems like a repeat outfit for me. I've been debating over the FitBit too, but decided against it right now because I have a Polar watch and haven't touched it in over a year. Have a great weekend!

  22. I actually just got myself a fitbit this week (after going back and forth about it for weeks!). So of course I'm now lusting over those Tory Burch bands - so much cuter than the standard black band, though I'm not sure if I can swallow the cost of it. Hopefully they'll eventually go on sale! Have a great weekend! xoxo

  24. I added that marbled looking dress to my Keep list too but I have never heard of that company or ordered from them have you? I am so obsessed with it! Ummmmmm that romper is amazing! I hope you have a wonderful weekend love!

  28. Renting a boat would be awesome for the warmer days! On the lake or ocean?

I love both of the potential wedding dresses but I think #2 takes the cake, in my books. You would look awesome in either one though. Have a happy Easter weekend lady!
