Happy Thursday loves! One day closer to the weekend! It's all downhill from here, right? With the much warmer and humid temperatures (not to mention the afternoon showers) I am in a summer state of mind already. Leave it to Florida to skip right over spring and go straight to summer. But with summer fast approaching I already having beach and boat attire on the brain. Inspired by my girl Jill, I decided to put together my own "from beach to bar look".
I'm sure it doesn't surprise anyone that my outfit is based around a gorgeous Mara Hoffman bikini. It's ok, you can say it, I know I'm obsessed with them. I love the idea of throwing a kaftan on over your bikini no matter what time of day. It keeps you cool during the day and covers enough and is still stylish enough to wear out to the bar at night. For my day look I paired the bikini and kaftan with Jack Rogers jelly sandals, a beachy tote and of course a pair of oversized sunnies. The only thing you really need to take this look to night is to either throw your hair up in a top knot or embrace the salty waves, touch up your makeup and ditch the beachy tote. The espadrille wedges and earrings are optional (at least at 90% of bars here in Florida) but definitely a cute touch to make it look like you actually spent time getting ready. The best part about going out after a day in the sun? You don't even need any bronzer! Just make sure you rehydrate from being out all day before dehydrating again or it might end badly!
Happy Friday lovelies! I'm not going to lie, I had every intention of taking today off from blogging since this week has been crazy ...
